Ok well im lookin for a good online shooter game to get. i already have socom but im lookin for another anyone have any recommendations?

Wait till next year as Timesplitters future perfect will be out and thats all the online FPS you will ever need on the PS2 :D.
/me can\'t wait as you can even take your custom made maps online :D

I too cant wait for TS3!!!! but TS2 SHOULD have had ON-line capabilities but noooooooo.

I played that at my friend\'s house. It was very strange, and it was cool for about an hour, and then it got kind of ehh. It\'s a pretty hard game. I like the look of it...very unique. Single player mode is pretty cool, but co-op is just WAY more fun...

It has LAN capabilities but I wanted online :(

It has online capabilities but you have to do it 3rd party.
from the developers interview over at gamespot... looks like they will only release it when they think its ready.

As flawed as socom is, it is the best shooter you will find on the ps2.
X box and PC has a few different ones that are very popular. Counter Strike, Halo, Battlefield 1942....

Ratchet and Clank UYA is a pretty fun shooter type online game. Alot of fun and you can switch from 1sr person to 3rd person.
