Well I just saw Alexander, and it has to be by far the most homoerotic thing I\'ve ever seen. I have never seen a historical badass such as Alexander the Great be such a crying, whining, little pussy.
This movie was 3 hours of \'teh ghey\' (so most of you might enjoy it), aside from that, don\'t expect anything good.
The battle scenes weren\'t bad, but everything in between, was just one big gay orgy. The gay innuendo was through the roof, and Colin Farrell made out with a guy harder than he did Angelina Jolie.
Don\'t watch this film.
-
That\'s too bad. I always assume these epic movies are going to be good just because of all the backing behind them.
-
I\'m just sick of all the pretty boys in skirts riding horses yelling AHHHHHHHHHHHHH while pointing a sword forward.
-

Kind of like Zelda?
Troy was flaming teh ghey as well.
-
you do know that Alexander was in fact ghey, right? I mean should they make him into John Wayne just so you don\'t wquestion your own sexuality?
-
If that\'s all that bothered you in the movie (him being "ghey"), then I might give this one a try. It\'s not like he\'s kissing YOU, so why does it matter?
I\'ll just wait for another response/review from someone who doesn\'t care about one\'s sexual preference...
-
The movie recieved 1 star I think, wherever I read the review on it.
-
Yeah...it got crappy reviews from 3 different sites I just went to. I guess this movie really does BLOW (in a ghey way)...
-
evidentally, it is teh suck. Pity, I like Colin Ferrel...
-
Let me know when the Rosario Dawson scenes come up so\'s I can just see those parts and go home.
-
I don\'t care if Alexander the Great was gay or not, the movie stunk. When he wasn\'t killing people, he was crying, making out or hugging other men.
Angelina Jolie was gorgeous in this flick.
-
well, when is she not. Hell, even in Hackers she made me "discover" myself
-
I remember her in Hackers...I was like...@#$^!!
True story.
-
^^
It\'s true, I was there

He was bi-sexual .
I guess the man never cried before, right?
Give it a break.
Then again, with Oliver Stone, you either love or hate his movie\'s. I expect to like it.
-
You\'ll only like it cause di doesn\'t.
-
I had great expectations for this movie, but it seems that even an overly gay main protagonist won\'t save this movie.
-
I never like these historical movies, just don\'t do it for me, the only one I\'ve ever liked was Calicula because people got sodomized in it.

Hackers like what *raises the roof*:D
Yeah alexander was bisexual and i think his main love interest was actually one of his best friends.
tough luck. I never planned on seeing the movie anyway.
-
they do make him look like a major homo in the previews. when the elephant jumps up on its back legs. the look on colins face is like "hmmm, I wonder how far I could shove that trunk up my ass".
-
Heh... well, it was common to get it on with small boys and the like back then.
*wishes he was Alexander*
uh, did I just type that  :p
-
Like samwise said, being "gay" back then was nothing unusual (especially in the battlefield). Older men of higher status often enjoyed the company of young fit boys.. Just look at Rome and all of its leaders.
-
Then Christianity or something like that came around and frowned down on it and killed people for being gay and that attitude towards gays exist today. What happened? Wish we had the attitude of sexuality the ancients had.

Hold your horses Mr. Anti-Christ. The whole reason these Greeks were such flaming homosexuals was because of their distolerance towards women and believing that they are inferior and ignorant. Therefore they believed it best to sleep with a man first because men are of higher status.
-
lol @ titan.

Same mindset goes around the mideast. My friend in the military who got back from there said a popular saying is "Men are for pleasure, women are for babies."
Personally I find men disgusting but whatever floats your boat.

Um...no.

Agreed.

It wasn\'t anti-Christ. I was just saying something that historically happened. Just because I dont like organized religion doesnt\' mean everything I say is anti-religion. I was just saying sexuality was more open then than it is now. Things that were acceptable and natural are looked down on now. I dont mean just homosexuality. Men could have sex with women just for pleasure. I guess its still kind of like that today but in Greece, there were temple prostitutes. Try finding that in any religion today. You have to "have sex only after marriage" is what I was told growing up (mom is really religious).
I too don\'t have ANY attraction to men. I can\'t see myself having sex with guys or hooking up or whatever. I only have hooked up with chicks and that\'s how it will stay. But if someone is gay and likes that, that\'s perfectly fine by me. I have a couple friends who are gay and it doesn\'t bother me. I find women pleasureable ;)

Nah, nah Titan... You specifically pointed the finger of blame to Christianity for being the sole root of discrimination towards gays. It may have been an upside that sexuality was more open then, however they were being highly sexist towards women, as they treated them like shit.

Yeah, but its a historical fact. Religions like Christianity back then spoke out against gays. I also said "Christianity or something like that".
-
SwifDi is just bitter that he\'s conflicted between being a good Christian and flaming gay.

Titan did that?!
So false.
They didn\'t start it!
They just add to the fire continously and continue to lash out with stupid rhetorics and the full support of the pope.
I was Catholic once. Then I realised the they\'re full of it and most of the people are full of it.
But anyways...
Alexander sucked!

Same here. I was raised Catholic but they are like stuck in the middle ages (and I stopped believing in God), I just stopped believing. My mom up until I started working Sundays, made me go. One day, they were talking about how the gay community is immoral and stuff like that and they shouldn\'t be married. It pissed me off so much. The amount of ignorance and mostly intolerance pissed me off.

Wait til Oliver Stone does a movie about Julius Caesar. He was known for his bi-sexuality as well. :)

And I bet it will happen :)

I was watching the news and they were calling this movie "Alexander the Flop." It didn\'t even make it on the movie list. I guess nobody wants to see Colin Farrel being a homo for 3 hours. He was pretty dumb in DareDevil as well.
Ben Affleck = Crap

^^ :werd:

Hollywood just loves to do movies about FAGS! I guess their running out of ideas. Well we got Peter Jackson, he knows how to make movies.
-
Let\'s come to grip with a few things.
(1) All Christains are basically homosexuals.
(2) All Catohilic school girls are naughty girls, who any man would be so lucky to hit one time.
(3) Oliver Stone is a genius and you people are just too dumb to understand his deep films.
(4) You are all Brett Ratner film fans, go burn in hell.
:D

Well I am not a homo, and I only know of a few people in the town that I live in who are. Half the town goes to my church too...

Is one of those few people the Priest?
;)

No, our preacher isn\'t from here. He\'s from Texas and hes married.....to a woman.
-
You know what they say about Texas..
"Nothing about queers and steers there."
Now, having visited Texas, I never saw any steers , so I don\'t know..Hmph!

Did anyone else suck it up and go see this worthless piece of junk of a movie?

No, I\'ll wait for the DVD.
I did go to see the Spongebob Squarepants movie. Very funny, though I wouldn\'t recommend it to anyone who isn\'t a fan of the show:D
-
Spongebob ROCKS!! *looks around to see if anyone heard* *runs away*
-
Saw it the other night, first time experience with Spongbob and must say, it was great.
Also saw with Christmas with the Kranks, decent until I saw Jamiee Lee in a thong. Nasty.
-

She was pretty hot for an older chic in that movie "True Lies" she did with Arnold Schwarzenegger (the strip scene, which was freakin\' funny).
I was surprised to see her this fat. Of course...it\'s been 10 years since she made True Lies, which is plenty of time to get fugly by then *shrugs*
But yeah...I agree...that ruined it for me for the remainder of the movie...
-
Isn\'t Jamie Lee a hermaphrodite? Or is this just an urban legend?
-
Just cuz someone got ugly with age (as do we all), doesn\'t mean they used to be a man.
Although that question does go through my mind when I think of her...

I\'ve never watched a single episode of Spongebob.
I watched this.
It was the BEST.
Holy crap. Alot of people said it was like a long episode. Well I\'ve never watched it so it was even more hilarious.
-
She also was topless in Trading Spaces in 1984 I think. She wasn\'t that bad then (bodily saying) :)
-
Trading Places is the movie - Trading Spaces is a lame metrosexual show about home renovation.
Jamie Lee Curtis was pretty hot back in the day. She still has fantastic rack - even more so because it is natural.
-
Will say that, the girl I was with looked over to me and said, "I never realized her boobs was so big". I remember when Jamie Lee was deemed the "scream queen", she was so very hot back in those days.
-
back in those days.
Those days have LOOONG since passed...
-
Ahhh come on now, she isn\'t that bad for her age.
-
If you are going by her latest movie, I agree she looks pretty homely, but here she is at the Oscar\'s - like I said nice rack.
-
I love in True Lies when she strips. She has had such a nice body back then. Even in Trading Places she was pretty hot. I agree, for her age, she\'s better looking than a lot of actresses.
