just the audio?

I use DVD Decrypter (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DVD_Decrypter.htm) to rip, then BeSweet (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/BeSweet.htm) to convert to WAV.  I think this (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DVD_Audio_Extractor.htm) program might streamline things more though, I never used it.

dvd shrink, after analyzing go to reauthor and you can select when in the movie it\'ll start ripping and when it ends.

mount the IFO file (I hate IFO files, I would have gone with a VOB file, but that\'s just me) after mounting it with Daemontools (or whatever progie you want) open it with your DVD player.
