Just got an in car adapter that says i can play and CD, MD, MP3 player through the cassete deck in my car. Ie there is a cable coming from a tape out to the headphone jack of my MD player, problem is it doesnt work (as u detectives out there probably guessed)
Dont know any details about the MD ---> cassete adpater but my MD player is a Sony Hi-MD MZ-NH700, any reasons why this woudnt work?
It cant be becase the MD player is Hi-MD, all it is is sound out put from the MD player - i mean i use normal headphones to listen to the MD player.

Are you sure you\'re plugging it in the right place? My CD player had a headphone jack, and another jack specifically made for adaptors of that nature. Check the connection.

I have an idea, get a new head unit :)

:facelick: Exactly...

md player only has a headphone jack, optical out and line in, line out would have been helpful

All that casette adapter does is takes your headphone volume and throws it onto the playback head of your casette deck.
Are you sure you have the volume turned up a little bit on the player?

yep, everythings up, thats why im thinking it may be something to do with the adapter itself
Why does my 1st post say:

I think he gave you a reach around.
Yeah, if your headphones work then it\'s your adapter.

Try turning the volume down on both cd player and your in-car deck, put the tape in and press play on both and then turn the volume up on the diskman. Right after that, the volume on the headunit. It will work
btw welcome to the mid 90\'s

What kind of car do you have? If you want to invest in a new head unit, you can get a semi decent one for like 150 if you look in the right places.
