\'One in four buys broadband for porn\'
Almost one in four people with broadband internet admit signing up in order to download pornography, according to a survey published today.
Faster access to adult entertainment was the second biggest reasons why users installed the technology in their home.
The top reason for getting broadband was to download music from the internet, according to the poll by telephone and internet company Homecall.
More than 5,000 people were questioned face-to-face in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff and Birmingham earlier this month about their reasons for getting broadband.
A third said it was to download music, 23% to download adult services, 12% for music videos, 9% to listen to online radio, 8% to download movie trailers and 5% to share information with family and friends.
"Broadband in the home has really taken off," a Homecall spokesperson said. "We have been able to keep in touch with family and friends via email on dial-up, but having high speed internet access in the privacy of our own home allows us to use the service for entertainment as well."
Broadband allows access to the internet at up to 10 times faster than existing dial-up connections.

Unbelievable as it seems....but I hate going to porn sites coz of the spam and pop ups. So I got to a forum (like this but for cars and porn :p ) where they post all the pics - free of spam and pop ups. :D Kinda like our "Hot Babe" thread.

It definitely seems like a waste of life/time to me now. Some people spend hours on end and thousand upon thousands of dollars paying for porn sites (like this porn addict on the news). I just think he seriously needs to get out more :/

Yes it\'s funny how quickly you become jaded to porn. Or maybe your tastes just refine and narrow down dramatically. BTW getting porn from typical porn websites is an absurd waste of time. Usenet is still the best place for it.

Yeah, I just wanted broadband for the whole gamut of things i could do. There were so many things that i couldnt do that I could with broadband so we got it.
And yes - porn does loose appeal. Like Cored said - either you are just far too jaded or youre tastes become refined.

I\'m not hell bent on watching porn like some of my friends are. The occasional movie is good though ;) Porn just shows me what women I can\'t do and what moves I can\'t do :(

I think your tastes just get really refined. Like the pictures I posted in the hot babe thread are mostly just artistic photoshoots then actual porngraphic romps. Rare do the models in my pictures sets ever actually get nude and even if they do, it\'s not hardcore but something like you\'d find in say FHM or Maxim. When I first got the Internet though, it was hardcore all the way and now that is what\'s tame for me oddly enough.

At least im not alone - though i wouldnt say i have nearly that much.
Its just shit accumulated over time. Maybe not even double digits (though i wouldnt be surprised if it was). Its slowed down for sure (the collection of it that is).
Too few things i havent seen or that i cant fathom.
