hello how do I set up my tv to take advantage of monster cable for the ps2?I have a hdtv philips 40 inch tv.
-
...they\'re color coded
-
yes I know but I dont really see a big difference inthe quality.
-
One of the following:
- The game(s) you\'re viewing when using the component cables do not support progressive scan, in which case you\'d only see a slightly superior image in 480i.
- Your TV sucks.
- You need to see an eye doctor.
-
there isn\'t a large difference, but it\'s there
-
moster cable eh?
:D:

Well, I\'m in the PAL region here. The default PS2 AV cable is cr@p.
I now use S-video on a 100hz PAL tv : very nice
and I use the official PS2 Euro AV scart cable on my Sony Wega
tv.
The difference with the standard cable is incredible imo, I\'ll never go back. The Monster cables should also be very good.

You need to see an eye doctor.
not everybody are subbtle to every details. I know i play often with my games settings adjusting bi linear or tri-linear crap, texture quality and such.
I know there is probably a difference in the graphic, because i see the FPS go from 45 to 28.. but i cant see the damn difference.
If you are noob to image quality, sometimes the difference is hard to see.

It also depends on what type of games you play.
A game with a cartoony style doesn\'t really feature high res
realistic textures so high end anisotrpic filtering is a bit overkill
in such games.
A realistic looking games however does benefit from AF. In console games a better AV cable does mean in most cases a better representation of textures and also interface visuals.
Color bleeding is also near non existant with better cables.

yeah I barely noticed that cartoongames look just about the same.I just tried rachet and glank and it look ok about the same quality.but then I tried gt3 and dead or alive hardcore.wow I could see a big difference especially in doa.you know any games that look real good with monster cables?
