Title: good multiplayer games
Post by: Joker on December 15, 2004, 10:07:05 PM: finally! after 4 years of waiting high speed interent is available in my area and will be up at midnight thursday night.

So now that I can finally play online games, does anyone know any particular good ones? I stopped buying PC games 4 years ago (the odd game here and there but nuthin special)

so far the only game I want for PC is Doom 3 (dunno how good tis multiplayer is, or if it has one) but i\'d like to own Doom 3.

but i\'m pretty much into all types of gaming, but if anyone knows any good games with "lots O killinz" that\'d be great, console games for that matter too. I guess now I can seriously look at online console gaming now :D

Post by: THX on December 15, 2004, 11:06:18 PM: Medal of Honor: Allied Assault has got it all but the graphics are aging. Very fun single player and multiplayer is addictive. Will run on just about any system too.

Command & Conquer: Generals + Zero Hour is good technical fun, along with Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Requires brains and not just mindless point and click gaming.

Need for Speed Underground 2 looks best on the PC if you don\'t have it for console yet. I\'m sure the multiplayer rocks, and is free!

Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are must haves for this generation hardware.

I just saw this game (http://pc.ign.com/articles/573/573834p1.html) on IGN and it looks like some good fun.

my best friend is getting NFSU2 for xmas from my grandmother (which means I can borrow it ;))

D3 and HL2 are quickly looking like must haves (like I said, I stopped reading up on PC games)

and i\'ll look into C&C and MOH.

that new FF looks pretty fun too :D

I feel like i\'ve missed so much :P time to make it up.

Post by: fastson on December 16, 2004, 01:21:05 PM: Battlefield 1942/Battlefield Vietnam, it might be getting a bit old, but its still one of the best multiplayer games out for the PC. Large scale combat, land, air and water up to 64 players.

Battlefield 2 is coming out March 2005, if you want to wait for the latest version.

Post by: §ôµÏG®ïñD on December 16, 2004, 11:15:15 PM: Generally most FPS games rock online. But they do tend to be repetitive. Starwars Galaxies is meant to be good.. My brother can\'t stop playing it. I personally don\'t bother with online gaming. I only do lan parties.

lol, i\'m giddy with happiness

currently downloading Counter-Strike at 732mb which would of taken my 56k close to 6 days of leaving it on overnight and thru the day.

its\'ll be done in an hourish and 2-3mb a sec :D:D

anyways, i\'m waiting too for Battlefield 2 aswell :)

WoW I can\'t get until I can get full time hours, currently paying to play FFonline cause it was the only game on 56k that wouldn\'t really lag that much if at all.

i\'ll give a look see into SW too

the net is finally not so boring :D
