Only a handful.  DVDs can support progressive with the newer PS2s.

So all DVD\'s on the PSTwo can play in Progressive, but only the games that originally had that feature, like Tekken 4 for eg...

So in that case the old PS2 should be able to play progressive with component cables then ? otherwise they would\'nt of added the feature in certain games ???

Does that mean that before on the old PS2 DVD\'s were NEVER in progressive scan even with the component cables ?

I\'m confused.. Does anyone know the answer to this..

The 1080i isn\'t actually 1080i though.  It\'s 480p upconverted to 960i using post-processing algorithms.  The PS2 still isn\'t powerful enough to render a modern game at 1080i in realtime @ 60fps.  I\'m pretty sure this topic will be brought up again and again but this is how it stands as of now.
