i have bought 2 different dvd remotes for my ps2 and i put brand new batteries in them and plug them in good but they dont work can someone tell me why they dont work for my ps2 dvd player thanks

If you are useing the new slim line console some peripherals don\'t seem to work. I\'m haveing trouble finding a wireless controller that works.

Make sure you have the right model DVD Remote, this happened to me too. Older models do not have a built in infared reciever and will not pick up the signal from the DVD Remote, I suggest exchanging the remotes for the older version.

I have heard that the new slimline ps2 only works with official Sony products. This applies to controllers too, no 3rd party peripherals will work.

Now that\'s marketing ;) I don\'t have that problem anyway. All the peripherals I get for my PS2 are made by Sony. I do have a couple things made by 3rd party (one memory card actually and a steering wheel for PSX).
