I haven\'t really watched it since the first season. I don\'t think the voting works so it\'s a big scam.

It was stupid. so many votes didn\'t get counted because the phone lines got clogged. Well how can you possibly have a winner?If votes get the busy signal, then it doesn\'t work. Of course its going to be close.

It\'s like taking a 100 gallons of water and a thousand gallons of water and you drain it through a hose for 100 minutes at one gallon a minute.

Well they both get the same amount of water through, yet one has 900 gallons of water washed out on the ground.

Except for the first couple episodes, of course. ;)

It\'s not like the winners are going to be anything but a "recording artist." Part of being a real celebrity, is having a certain something that gets you noticed. Having the drive and charisma to get you to the top. The American Idols just end up winning a contest.

And don\'t tell me about Clay Aiken and William Hung. I can\'t wait to see them on surreal life season 8.

Im not advocating the show or anything I\'m just the saying the frist episodes are hilarious and then it tails off after that and I stop watching..

I usually watch the first episodes with the auditions. If I watch any after that its because I like one of the chicks on the show.

I hope I never get a Nielsen box because this Tivo has really lamed up my TV watching habits. I don\'t want to be running for president in 2025 and have my opponent bring up the fact that I used to watch Clifford the Big Red Dog while waiting for a nice recording buffer to build up on PTI. Shameful.
