I just occasionally play Counter Strike Source. To ensure it runs well I normally run it out of 800x600, but as of a week ago the 800x600 started not to fit the screen right. It makes no sense as to why, but it\'s scewed to the left and not as tall. The moniter settings and main resolution haven\'t be changed any. If I bump it up to 1024x768 it fits right but I lose needed FPS. Any idea as to why it\'s doing it and how I could maybe fix it?
-
what color is it in? 24 bits, 16 bits, or 32 bits?
and the most important thing of all, what refresh rate is it in? If you adjust the computer monitor in 75 Hz, and then you use it in 60 Hz....then there is a problem with screen size...so go adjust the refresh back to where it was...
-
The refresh rate was changed when I took my tower somewhere else then back here. I swore I changed it back and reopened the game but I dunno.
Am I forced to just run the game with my computer at 60hz?
-
i dunno.
I prefer at least 72 Hz or higher. 75 Hz is more acceptable to me.
-
100hz or i\'ll go blind
-
85hz is fine for me. With the Stereo Glasses i HAVE to have it at 85hz. Any lower and its just crap.

Have you beatin\' it into your brain that much?
On a sidenote, no matter how I edit it none of the sizes are fitting the screen right now. For ****s sake
-
did you reinstall your video driver yet?
-
Is it an LCD monitor?
-
Nope, it\'s a CRT moniter. I didn\'t really want to put that much effort into it but I guess I\'ll have to. Either that or deal with it being shorter than normal.
-
so, do you remember what refresh rate was it running originally before?
and what refresh rate are you running now?
-
I remember checking a box to only show refresh rates that the moniter could handle. I had it at 72 on mine then I took my tower to a friends and I know it lowered it to 60. When I got home they didn\'t fit right.
-
So change it again. Or have you?
-
yeah,
change it back to 72 Hz if you haven\'t...
-
Like I haven\'t tried that already. It did nothing.
-
Have you tried turning the monitor on?
Can u possibly post a pic of yourself?
-
^^^^
lol, thx. that gives me a chuckle.
I guess thx is desperate....

Hehe

lmao, that\'s the bozzie we love (homo)

tried overriding the refresh rates in the gfx control panel?
-
example.
-
Haha yes, I\'ve already been in that exact menu. It didn\'t help any. Ever since the refresh rate was changed once the resolution for Source has been out of wack and won\'t go back.

FX5600 ultra?
i hope thats not your card, soully

sure is, got it for free and its better then my ti4400 card. I\'ll be updating soon, but i have other more important things to worry about atm.
