anyone upgrade from 512 to 1Gb, if so what was the gaming difference. I\'m debating on either getting a Gig stick for my notebook (1.25gb total) or getting a 6600GT for my 3ghz desktop (current is crap 440 card)
-
GET THE GFX CARD YOU FAG
-
well, I don\'t game on my desktop all that much, it\'s mostly on the notebook....BUT, if the 1 gig gain is minimal, I\'ll learn to game on the desktop.
either way, I\'ll get both upgrades within the next month
-
get the 6800gt
dont be a cheapskate
-
^^
bastard, you\'ve been talking to that red asshole on my shoulder, haven\'t you ;)
-
Another vote for the 6800gt here.
I just upgraded to 1gb ram on my laptop though and I\'m very pleased.

I have 380 some odd ram on my 1.3 ghz.
I can barely freaking log onto this site any more.

Heh. I sometimes browse with my 233 (266?) MHz notebook with 128 megs of RAM. I can hardly open 5 I.E. windows at once.

I dont touch celerons when i dont have to.

They used to be the best for overclocking and price for performance... these days people hardly touch em.

I still have a 486 notebook, 11 inch B&W screen. I think it\'s 33MHz, runs Windows 95. I use it for my writing, and to play a few old-school games.
