Title: Need for Speed Underground 2
Post by: THX on January 27, 2005, 01:13:19 PM: I know this game is a couple months old but I just bought it for PC since GT4 was delayed and I\'ve been having a racing itch for some reason. First of all I don\'t really care for the customzing "Pimp My Ride" look of cars but I found myself spending close to an hour last night visiting different shops to get my 240sx looking good. It\'s really peachy what you can do.

Graphics are certainly the best for the PC version, and there\'s a mod where you can choose whatever res you want, even widescreen, so it looks good for those with an HDTV. But being that it\'s EA they conform you to listen to their EA Trax list and you can\'t add any of your own music. Mostly rap but it has some dance music, most is bleh.

Oh and Brooke Burke is the "host" of the game, but so far I\'ve just heard her voice and seen a handful of still drawings. :evil: Anyone else play it? How long before I move up to another car? It seems like it\'s taking forever.

You have to do street races or finish levels to earn new cars. You finally unlock everything on the 5th stage.. Was a good game, but it could have been better.

Post by: PS2_-'_'-_PS2 on January 28, 2005, 07:57:41 AM: I got it for the xbox a couple of days ago, seems very easy in single player and live is full of scottish neds coining that ever useful phrase: "yah knob jockey!" and english people saying "twat".

Think ive raced like one american although i dont play it much coz everyone beats me since i cant b bothered doing the carreer stuff. ;)

I have owned only 2 cars out of both games. In the first it was the Miata and in the second it was the Corolla GTS.

Slap a bolt on in that bitch and start drifting. Good times.

That or just wait till it rains. Its a much greater rush than driving in a straight line (that is depending on how fast youre going).

EDIT: Might be the year too. I hear the Mazda Speed version is fast.

KA\'s suck and will never match the SR20DET.

And as far as the drift king goes (as implied by cored) - He drives an AE86 trueno (86 corolla gts here), not a silvia.
