ok, my buddy wants to put XP in a PentiumII with 128 Meg memory  will it work???

it should work, I had xp pro on an old pentium 3 450 with only 96 megs of ram and it worked pretty decent.  Not blazing fast but fast enough to use.

depends on cpu speed really. If i remember right 333mhz P2 is the minimum u should run XP on. With 128 Meg you\'d be pushing it. Sure it\'ll work, donno how well though.

wow, i think your friend should upgrade his computer.  I don\'t mean spending hundreds on top of the line CPU/motherboard, etc.  Just upgrade to something like AMD Athlon XP +1800 should be fine for a while until he need serious upgrade later on such as over 3 Ghz CPU and better in the future...

how many gigs does it need to install??????   do you NEED to register it on-line?????? that might be a problem.......

you can authorize it over the phone... that is if it\'s a legit purchased copy of xp of course

wellllll I have GIVEN up trying to fix that Archaic POS....I told him to call an expert.....i\'m no expert but I am not a novice either............  my dad trained me well.......too many driver issues and conflicts......... I said to heck with it.....
