I am wondering if I get the media center XP edition, will that come with all I need as far as televison capablities?

It\'s for dedicated Home Theater PCs (HTPCs), I don\'t see the need for it on a laptop.

Regular XP will let you watch TV just fine, MCE just adds a slick interface and more compatibility with certain components for integration.

I read that MCE fixes the YUV to RGB conversion or something to pass BTB and WTW.  Because Video uses sRGB method for YUV, and when convert PC RGB, it failed BTB and WTW.

But I watches some DVD using regular Window XP just fine, not sure if its really failed WTW or BTB, because it doesn\'t really distract me.

So, you don\'t have to worry about using regular Window XP.  Unless, you are into picture quality...but it doesn\'t really matter since LCD quality isn\'t really that great to show off color...
