I remember that there was a thread about De-loused In The Comatorium a while ago so I thought "Lets start a thread about the NEW Mars Volta album".
It\'s already released in Japan but I guess the official release date in the States is March 2nd.
There are 5 tracks on the album but it all flows like it\'s 1 track(taking up almost 80 minutes)
The Widow is the track that is most likely going to be a single.It\'s 5:57 but it will be reduced to 3 minutes because the last portion of the song is static leading up to the next song.
Anyway I haven\'t listened to it that long but I think they are just enhancing what they did on De-loused,taking their sound deeper into "prog rock" territory.
What do you think?

yeah!....

Anything by Omar is gold.
Can\'t wait for the album.

The Mars Volta rock. Drunkship of Lanterns = \\m/

They are okay, their music is very well thought out, and their lyrics are on a whole different level then most bands....
But, I\'m into other stuff.

I can never seem to listen to them for a whole album.It\'s good for 2 or 3 songs but eventually the screaming, shouting and the fast guitar riffs are giving me a headache.
They still rock though!
P.S:I saw a picture of the band members in a magazine. You gotta love 2 white guys with huge frows!

I\'ll hold off complete judgement until I see them play the music live (although from what I hear most of the songs on the album are straight from the "jam sessions" they played on their last tour.

I\'ve listened to it through but I don\'t have it on my computer at school, I\'m just going to wait to buy it. It\'s alot different than De-Loused but it has its on notable points.
