Title: Life.
Post by: unknown on February 11, 2005, 11:59:45 PM
What do you think of it?..

Would u rather be dead right now or alive and well.. What are the pro\'s and con\'s of life for you? and is it worth it. Post a serious comment, anything stupid will get me in a pissed off mood and I will give you the finger, chicken wings.

To me right now life is alright, I have too many tickets, my license is suspended so I can\'t drive but I do anyways because I have to work and it\'s funny how the system screws over the honest person the most.

Life is a complete blur.  I don\'t know what day it is half the time.  I\'m in studio 7 days of the week so it\'s hard to keep track of time.  Can\'t really comment on the quality of my life because I haven\'t had time to sit and reflect.  Ask me again over spring break.

hmm..the query of life..if anything the transition from life to death scares the crap outta me so thats the reason i wouldnt want to be dead. But i guess it would be like a shot..the anticipation is horrible but once its done its done.

But yea..being introverted u miss out on a lot. So its my fault if life isnt "worth it". Guess only time will tell since im young.

True that.

I spend a lot of time reflecting on life (perhaps even moreso than just living it). I\'m trying to be more \'in the moment\' and tell myself that you won\'t be any happier buying more stuff. It\'s quite hard though, because in our society we\'re brought up believing more things = good. But when you think about it, we don\'t really need that shit anyway. I mean, what does it matter if you have a 42" or 52" TV? You think it\'s really cool for about a week, then you\'re back to normal. Only poorer. :)

Oh, and my grandmother just died.

No one knows what death (\'not living\') is like, so I have no clue as to how your supposed to answer this.

People just think to be dead will be like when we are asleep and not dreaming. Who can say this for sure though? For all you know not being alive could be even worse then living.

condolences on your grandma sammy, hope you feel better soon.

As for my life I\'m doing fine.  I know it could be better but if you spend time worrying what you don\'t have you\'ll let the present pass you by.  Isn\'t that line from a movie?  Get a dog and take it out for daily walks (get outta your house!), get a membership at the gym and feel better about yourself, plan a road trip with your friends, etc...

My main gripe is I\'m having a hard time finding a job post-college.  But the good thing is I know it\'s not the end of the world and things can only get better.

As for the afterlife question i\'m one of the few people with faith on the forum so you know where I stand with that.

Can you remember what you felt before being born? before being conceived? Just that is death, not existence at all: no feelings, no exxistence, no life. That way forever in eternity. Once you\'re dead, nothing exists.

Let\'s not turn this into a religion debate.

Pleaseeeeee?

Life is awsome..... I don\'t know how to make any of yours better.

But I love you all. <3<3<3

Sorry Adan, but I disagree. Beyond and after Life is everything beyond human comprehension. Words & feelings as we know it will never be able to that any justice. I like Otomo\'s \'Akira\' very much.

As for the Life topic :

All life is equal imho. But I think each of us has an individual specific goal in life. It\'s sort of a huge lesson accustomed for everybody.

For myself I think that lesson is finding balance between socializing and keeping my uniqueness integrity in tact.

The internet company i work is on the verge of being liquidated (18th of March). For me however, this is more like a chance , than an ending becuz I now have a more open chance to pursue my goal to become a 3D artist. Lots of questions to be answered ; Maya or Cinema4D. Study in USA or trying to job app here in Holland. Portfolio and work takes up alot of time and energy and i do realize I am sacrificing alot of social life for this goal. This is a conscious decision. It hurts sometimes however, bigtime. I have a crush on a particular girl now for almost a year now ; chances are slim though becuz she finds me too old for herself (she\'s almost 18, I\'m almost 27) But I know I gotta persist in my creative effort if I don\'t wanna end up in some mediocre job.  I have a creative vision, and i feel that if i don\'t realize that somewhere in my life I will have failed my goal. Yes, i am artistically ambitious, not money ambitious. (however, I wouldn\'t object being rich heheh)

Life is only scary when you think about it being gone.

That is impossible because you are always dreaming while asleep, you have thousands a night, but you usually only rember 1-2 of them when you wake up.

As for there being nothing after death, thats a thought that has made me sick. But than I think what abouts ghosts and stuff? Have you ever seen the movie white noises? It\'s about how spirits can contact through electonics. It\'s a fictional movie but it\'s based on real things. I forget what it\'s called. People really have recieved messeges from the dead so that raises a lot of questions about life after death. Very interesting. I hope for life after death because it would suck to not exist at all.....scary huh?

If you don\'t exist at all, then you won\'t be around to be bummed/scared about it.

Either way, you win.

Unless there\'s a hell and you take up residence there.

Then, you lose.

Life is too damn short not to do the things you want to do.

Regrets suck!
