Title: Souly got himself decent job.
Post by: §ôµÏG®ïñD on March 13, 2005, 05:00:49 AM: Yep, after getting crappy job after crappy job I finally landed the job I’ve been wanting for ages.

I work in the RMA department for a pc wholesaler.
Basically my job is to test faulty computer parts (cdroms, dvdroms, memory, gfx cards, video capture cards, printers, monitors, ram, digital cameras etc) that retail outlets send to us. If they\'re faulty I send them back to the distributor/s for repair/replacement, if there’s nothing wrong with them, they get sent straight back to the retail store. I also make pcs, shuttle comps stuff like that, plus small things like updating firmwares etc I work with 2 other doods in a nice little messed up office (pc shit everywhere)

The job pays pretty damn well and will be going up even more pretty quickly. So I’ll be loving this for a few years then comes tafe for my diploma.

Our health system basically covers everything for free, you can get private which basically gives you your own room. I get products at cost price + 2%. Which doesn\'t really make much difference to me because i already get wholesale prices from other places. It has all the norms, sick leave, annual leave, superannuation, public holiday pay etc.

Vid, no assembly line work. I personally wouldn\'t do it either.

Guess it \'tis the season. I landed a new job too. Well.. internship. I\'ll be learning PHP coding on the job and hopefully they\'ll hire me after the project is done. Cool thing is I get to wear these semi-expensive corporate casual duds while taking the subway into DC. I almost forget that I\'m a minority.

But don\'t get me started on how the US health system is shit and is based on how much insurance cover/money people have instead of what they actually need. Australia > Canada > United States of America when it comes to this area. They say the system is a little on the red side, but long LONG MAY OUR CRIMSON FLAG INSPIRE!!

I hope you do a better job than the peter puffers at Datorbutiken.KUK who sent my faulty HDD back to me.. and charged me. Life is wonderful, and they just lost a customer who was just about to put a larger order. :D

I dunno if I spelt it right. :p But you know how in the USSR flag and other communist organisations, they have that curvy thing with a sort of slanted T going through it? That\'s what it actually is, a hammer and that curvy farming tool.
