Verizon Fios (http://www.verizonfios.com/)
Anyone planning on switching over? They have three different plans of 5/15/30 Mbps. I have Verizon DSL now and I\'m probably going to switch once it becomes available here(in the next couple months).

where do you find out when it will be available in your area? I guess only the major metros are getting it first?

Check Availability (http://www22.verizon.com/FiosForHome/channels/Fios/HighSpeedInternetForHome.asp?promotion_code=&variant=)

that\'s what i\'m asking... i\'ve done the availability before and it tells me I qualify for DSL and that FIOS is not available in my area yet.
Is there anywhere that states a timeframe for fios rollout?

they say up to 30mbps which you would proabably never reach that speed and at $199 per month I\'ll pass

When I called the lady who answered said it would be available in my area before the fall.

Yeah but the 15 Mbps is only $44 and the 5 Mbps is $34

If you\'ve seen people in your neighborhood digging up everyone\'s yards then you may have it.
You need fiber to your door to be a candidate.
