I thought some of you might find some slight interest in this. Its fairly long, and it doesnt say too much, but at the same time it says something. It has a little poll too, but im sure nobody will be thrilled with it.
Im not paraphrasing it so ill just post some quotes to get the blood boiling.

hmmm this is what some of us here was saying all along...see no wmd\'s..:p..but wait the response to this from others who supported the war will say.."well uh the u.s. wasn\'t the only one\'s that supported the intelligence..other countries did also :rolleyes:"...which may be true, but the u.s. was the only one\'s that acted on that faulty intelligence...i\'ll leave it at that..anymore rambling will just lead to the same tired arguments of why iraq wasn\'t a threat and blah blah...

B/c last time I checked. His admin was bashed on how they handled the Iraq war? The war has had no results and the economy is falling apart. All we need is a winter storm to whipe us all out.

Bush did not cause a world war. He did not bring the US down to heaps of rubble. Our economy is getting stronger (I have no idea where you got the "falling apart" from). There is no nuclear winter.

I made the comparison to the idea that their countries where stronger and better than anybody else. That they had an army so powerful and their will so intense that nothing could stop them. Then they failed.

Bush has caused a great deal of tension between the world, whether you like to admit it or not. His intelligence agencies have been ridiculed by their own and the war in Iraq was a huge lack of judgement from the start. It might not bring this country to rubble, but judging by the way it has split up the people, it might as well have. Judging by the countless deaths, it might as well have. 9/11 caused a huge lack of confidence to some people, like yourself, have clinged on this superiority from the moment Bush fed to you with a silver spoon.
The economy is doing badly. It\'s a known fact, there was even a report called "Economist are more afraid of Bush\'s policies that terrorist" I can\'t find it though! The debt is only getting bigger which doesn\'t mean that it\'s going to get better.
I have no idea where "nuclear winter" But, I\'m sure you added that just so to make me seem absurd. I never said anything about "nuclear winter" I was referring to France Vs. Russia when France thought it was the bomb.

First Mystiq - you will never live down some of your past "racist" statements and that does have a tendency to make people view you as one.
Secondly, the whole debt issue has happened before under Ronald Reagan and despite liberals efforts to cut funding on defense he proceeded and this led to the downfall of communism.
"His" intelligence agencies? No, they are our countries intelligence agenices - made up of people appointed by him and President Clinton as well. The blame does not rest on one persons shoulders alone for failures in intelligence. One could argue that Clinton actually handcuffed our "on the ground" intelligence by making it a policy to cut back our on the ground intelligence operations. After 9/11 Bush repealed the law and now we are somewhat back on track, but it doesn\'t happen over night. To sum it up we didn\'t have the people in place on the ground that should have been there so please stop pointing the finger at Bush - you keep focusing on the wrong issue here. The failure of the intelligence community happened before Bush came into office due to the people that the Clinton Administration put there and the laws they passed.
Should Bush have acted quicker in correcting the problem? Unfortunately we only have the gift of hindsight.
Comparing Hitler\'s and Napolean\'s campaigns against Russia to the Iraqi War is absurd since both took place before the true advent of modern logistics and both France and Germany were outnumbered population wise by Russia. In Germany\'s case they could win a battle where they killed 600,000 Russians and lose 300,000 themselves, yet they still lost because Russia could dump another 600,000 troops into the meat grinder and think nothing of it. Germany did not have the manpower to replace those troops.
