Go see it. Thats all you need to know.

THis is one of those movies that I just can not accept a bad comment about. It\'s one of the best movies of the past 10 years.
The French have a name for everything : film noir? This is what they call this movie. Anyway, Frank Miller co-directed this movie so that each frame stays true to his graphic comic novel.
I hope he does Dark Night Returns (or is it Return of the Dark Night?) Anyway....this movie is freaking AWESOME!
-
Dark Knight Returns, and I think.. if Frank Miller is involved.. it would be awesome.
We\'ll find out soon enough if Batman Begins could have used some pointers from Frank. (given Year One, and all)
-
Surprisingly, people have been giving this movie great reviews. I expected it to be good but not a movie that those high brow critics would like. Now that they are giving it good reviews, it makes me kinda skeptical.
Ill probably see it tonight but who knows.
-
Totally agree
last night this replace "The Crow" as my own personal favourite movie.
by the way was anyone else extremely impressed with how good Elijah Wood was?
I thought he made a great psychopath. Even without seeing a single word.
At the end of my screening the audience started applauding and stood up.
Which I don\'t know if thats the norm for you guys but its not here. I\'ve seen it happen only on other time and that was when the credits rolled on "Return Of The King"
I wonder when MM will show up and bash us...
and thank you to robert rodriguez for giving me Carla Guignos breasts.

So wait... Joker, you got breasts now? I wanna feel them up.
-
Saw it, it\'s killer.

Jessica Alba + stripper pole = gasm
-
Now, Jessica Alba. I\'ll say something here.
Jessica Alba.. I found her attractive but never really threw her in my top 10 list of sexiest actresses.. until this movie.
I\'m sure the character helps, but lordy lord is she sexy in this movie..

I do recommend against taking girls to see this film.
They just don\'t understand that guys can be hit with cars three times and then get up as if nothing happened. Or get shot nine times and then be alright with a little bit of corrective surgery.
And they just don\'t share the same appreciation for montages of scantily clad women standing on rooftops killing mob members with machine guns...
Nor do they understand any appreciation for Asian chicks with the martial arts prowess of ten ninjas.
Chicks--no appreciation for art. ;)

I second that word.
Anyway, I was in a really blah mood physically when i saw the movie so maybe it made it not as good. It was indeed a good movie but i was really into it at time and really not in others. You can definately see the tarantino (however you spell it) influence on the sequence. I guess i wasnt expecting that so it made the movie drag a bit.
I remember wishing that i had bought some food and a drink before hand but it was too late. Makes the movie feel better just because youre a) more comfortable b) more into the whole act of being in a movie (that is if you can get over the crazy cash you had to dish out for just 3 items).
Of course i didnt have to pay this time around and perhaps ill see it again on a full tank with maybe some rasinettes (yum). Then perhaps things might not seem so on and off.
So far - 4 friends have liked it and one hated it.
meh.

I took my girlfriend. She loved all that :p
Personally, I thought this movie was absolutely amazing. The best I\'ve seen in a long time. I wanna go again now.

Word.
I took my girlfriend to see it. Mainly because she works at the movies so I got in free. But anyways, these were some of her comments after the movie:
"I didn\'t like it, it had no point"
Me: "WTF???? The movie was BEAUTIFUL"
"The movie had no point, and it was gross"
Me: "Gross?"
"I almost puked when the girl started talking about her fingers, and it had no story"
Me: "NO STORY??!! THE NOTEBOOK, THATS A LAME MOVIE RIGHT THERE"
"You liked it!! You almost cried"
Me: "I almost cried here when Jessica\'s strip scene was like only two minutes!"
Hit, punch and kick
Girls have NO APPRECIATION for film noir or even good bad ass movies in general. The violence was delicious, the acting was superb and the visuals were spectacular. This movie has replaced Donny Darko in my "Bad Ass" movie category. Now it looks like this.
1. Sin City
2. Donny Darko
3. Kill Bill
4. kill Bill 2
Jessica Alba...I would love to drink the sweat out her gym towel.

Now there\'s a good post!

i\'m gonna have to go and see this one..my brother has a few of the comic books...the story and abstract art of the books are very well done...most of the time i\'ll just wait for movies to come to cable or dvd...but i think i\'ll man up to go check this...
-
They said they wanted to almost make the movie follow the comic, page for page. Of course its not too the t but looking at both, you can definately see the same things.

There\'s a lot to like about this film, but I will only go into one thing for now: Mickey Rourke. This guy has a chrisma and screen presence that few can match. He\'s been getting the shaft for the last few years now, with nothing but tiny supporting roles, but in every recent film he finds a way to stand out. Things like "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," "Buffallo 66," and "The Rainmaker" all brought back good memories, but he hasn\'t had a leading role since about 1991. I hope that changes.
BTW, if you liked this film, you should see one of Mikey Rourke\'s greatest: Year of the Dragon (1985) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007VZ99E/002-5902947-7269600) It\'s finally going to be released on DVD on May 31st. I can\'t wait. :)

well I took a girl to see it and she didn\'t mind the gore or titays, but we both agreed that it drug on a little bit. Good movie over all, but it seemed to drag on for too long. However, we were both uncomfortable in the theater seats and were fidgiting for the last 1/2 hour of the movie, so that may play a part in my only complaint about the movie.
-
I have the movie. Haven\'t seen it all. So far it seems good.
-
Yea I watched it, too. Thought it was long but liked it. I enjoyed the Bruce Willis story a lot. I thought they took a few too many liberties with the second guy getting his ass kicked, but once I got passed that it was cool.
It didn\'t dethrone The Crow for me, though.
Sorry, Goldie.

"...once you got past that?"
