man..i just got back from Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, and Slipknot. Was such an awesome show. I dont really like shadows fall, but they were a lot better live, except they were kind of repetitive.
But the moshing was insane. I went to Slipknot, System of a Down, Rammstein, and Mudvayne 3 years ago and there would only be a little section of moshing. But the whole damn floor was going at it. It had its down time since everyone tired themselves out. But im finally big enough to withstand it. If the floor was the way it was when i was a freshmen, i would have had to find a corner or something. But im still relatively small, so some big guy felt the desire to lift me up and start crowd surfing. Which was awesome until i got to the security barrier, and the secuity guards pushed me back into the crowd as i was about to go over, and the people were expecting me just to fall on the other side of the barrier so they didnt support me after the security guy pushed me back...landed right on my back.
Then one of the percussionists in slipknot threw his drumstick and it hit a guy next to me and landed under his feet, so his reaction was just to stomp on the stick and try and pin it so he could reach and get it, but i put my hand over it and i pulled it out from under him, but some huge guy grabbed the end of the stick and ripped it out of my hand. sucked monkey butt.
anyway, just pumped up. Third concert and the first one i was in the stands, second i was too small to get in the crowd, now i was able to do everything.

Sounds like my ears and limbs would have bled off, meaning you had lots of fun.
Gonna see Victor Wooten and friends next week. Saw him once before and I loved it.

My gf is going to Avril Lavigne tonight, she asked me if i wanted to go i said hell no. I did say if she manages to met her, to bring her back for some 3 some action.... She laughed... i was serious :(

Most recent show I saw was back in February, Queensryche. They played the entire Operation: Mindcrime CD through, so that was awesome.

Last show I saw was Ocean Colour Scene in Toronto 2 years ago. Being in a band ruined shows for me. If I don\'t REALLY love the band, I won\'t go. I wanted to see the Black Crowes with Soundtrack of our Lives in NYC a couple weeks ago, but it was sold out. Was gonna go with my boss.

I will see NiN and Tori Amos when they do their big tours later this year. I don\'t care if they sell out and I pay outrageous prices on Ebay for the tickets. It will happen. I will not be denied.

don\'t go many concerts anymore
they closed down all the good venues in pittsburgh like metropol, upstage, syria mosque, ect
now we\'re just left with horrible sounding, overpriced, corporate sponsored dumps.
think the last show i saw was "pigface" last summer cause they played in a little club.

Heh.... I was in a band that opened for pigface in 1991 in Sacramento. They were cool except for trent reznor. Wot a yob.

Indeed. IF a concert\'s sound is bad, i do feel ripped off. The music/soundquality is still the most important concert aspect.

Well, I took the g/f to see Something Corporate Monday.
It was at IOU in Bloomington, IN. Out door concert at the Phi Sigma Kappa parking lot. Opening act was \'Days Away\' which started at 7:30. It started raining once they got on stage, but they played their full set which lasted about 45 mintues (too long!). After that we waited as they said "Soco" would not come out until the stage was dried, etc. Waited for about twenty mintues and they came out, played four songs, went back off stage so the roadies could dry the stage again.... Anyways, I will say that the band puts on a great show, very energetic. As far as the sound goes, I can\'t really say, the G/F got us right up in the very front row next to a speaker, so all I could hear was distortion and a ringing ear for the next three days...
Tommorw we are going to see Senses Fail, hoping that it goes better. At least I won\'t get rained on.

Went to Jillians at Louisville, KY lastnight.
Saw...
Blame it on Rio - Decent live bad. The G/F bought their cd. Have to say Josh (frontman) was impressive. He done a back flip off the drum\'s with his guitar on. Damn impressive.
A Change of Pace - God, they sucked. They seemed like every other band, \'cept for the awful cover they done of Ween\'s "We will rock you".
Emmanul - A local band. Not too bad, but not very impressive.
Senses fail - Damn good live show. In the middle of one song they broke out into a cover of Faith No More\'s "Epic".
Come next month, I\'ll be goin\' to see The Killers, hope that goes well. After that, probably won\'t see any more concerts until NiN and Tori Amos come back around

Well i havent been to any concerts really in almost a year. I was supposed to go to a Rev. Horton Heat concerti but ended up not going.
I know some of you like the Dead Milkmen and i heard them for the first time yesterday on the radio while i was driving to my friends house. I dont know what some of you are on but they sucked. Oddly at the same time they were kinda catchy. Peter Bazooka was interesting however. Meh.
Whether Bitchin Camaro is a classic to some of you i dont know but i knew some of you liked them so i thought id share a fairly meaningless experience.

Saw Victor Wooten last night. Rocked the house. They had some new crew from ATL on stage and the girls could really sing. One cute one had this cool song where she played the bass and rapped at the same time. Pretty damn stylish.
Later on in the show Vic handed his bass into the crowd and let 2 people play it. The 2nd guy kicked ass and even the people on stage were surprised.
Other than that 2 jailbaits were trying to flirt with my bro & me but we\'re on parole for raping our dad so we stayed away. Can\'t wait til next time.
