Title: how comes some songs dont fully download on my ipod

i noticed this yesterday, i was listening to "best the bastards" by the exploited, and half way through police tv it stops, then skips the next few tracks....

i deleted them, re imported them, but still serial killer (6.45 ) only shows .45, and police tv are still well short.. but the other one that was short is ok now


also my at the drive in - acrobatic tenant album, only the first song downloaded properly!

also happend to my circle jerks album, but that has seemed to download properly 2nd time


on the ones that have failed to download, only play time it has n/a....

all the cds are perfect, and scratch free, any ideas?

i never own an ipod or any external hdd audio player, so i don\'t know what could cause the problems.

so, you extract your songs off the Audio CD in either wav/pcm, or mp3, or wma to your computer.  When you try to transfer it to your Ipod.  It didn\'t play all the way through.    It skipped the end part of the song.

When you extract the song off your CD to your computer, did it extract the entire song?

are these downloaded songs?  Cause a lot of times (depending on where you get them) they can be corrupt.  

I always test listen to everything I download just to make sure it\'s all there.  If you are ripping these songs, then I don\'t know what to say...

maybe try a new ripping program?

And when you are downloading them are you sure they are the full length of the songs also.

im ripping my own cds! and you cant use anything apart from itunes! i tried the exploited album 2 times this morning, then it downloaded properly on the second try

seems to be working fine now, maybe there was just a bit of dirt on the cd lense?

Yeah...you definitely want to clean off the CD face before ripping.

no the cds are perfect, i meant the lens on the computer might of had a bit of dust on it, as it seems to work now

I always put a CD lens cleaner in my system every so often.
