Yup, XBox Live sounds very solid. I love the idea of Silver service. Nice move on their part.

And yeh, it\'ll probably cost them a chunk, but oh well. Take advantage of it. :)

"Free Xbox Live weekends" - to me that sounds like some weekends could be free (like a trial or whatever), not necessarily that ALL weekends are free. Dunno.

The specs sound pretty much like I\'d expect them to be, so no \'WHOA < insert Keanu Reaves pic >\' from me. Although I find it odd how it says detachable HD, and only 20 gb. The pics (if real) said 40 gb. Also, why would you want to be able to detach your HD? Only really makes sense if you have to buy it as an addon.

But official specs would be nice.

Probably MS already sees excessively high manufacturing costs for the console as it is without the HD.So I believe they may prefer to sell it without a HD to maintain a certain price without losing much and a 20GB HD as an extra instead of a 40GB so it will be cheaper for the consumer to buy it.

OR the specs are BS rumours, but close to the real deal. ;)

But the size of the hdd could have been scaled down to make things cheaper. A 40gb or even higher could always be sold seeing that the drive is removeable.

I think the 20gb drive will come with the system
