Check both streams at the bottom of the page. Some of these games are looking fantastic. The second showcase is better than the first, but the first has killzone in it. ;)

There not gameplay.
-
well, some of them are.. most notably killzone
here\'s a real-time re-creation of a FFVII (what was then CG) scene

Still not gameplay. They\'re intro CGi\'s, that is why you don\'t see any health bars, or other necessary gameplay data on trhe screen.
These are just demo\'s designed to show off machine capabilities. The games will look sweet but expect realtime in game footage to take a step back from what you are seeing during the E3 hype fest

Think of these like the "Hundred Mario" demo for the NGC. Or the rubber duck demo for the PS2. Or the Final Fantasy Demo for the N64.. List goes on and on. These are not games in realtime. They are intro\'s or games using an engine , but not in realtime.
-
here is the unreal engine 3 running realtime... they mess with the cameras and stuff towards the end. Pretty impressive stuff (the unreal footage starts around 38 minutes) plus this video has all the tech demos.. some of them are pretty neat

Did you see the rubber duck PS3 version? Haha, that Eyetoy thing they did was fantastic! Notice how the water changed shape when he poured it out of the glass? Thats really something.
-
A few vids are now on IGNs site
http://ps3.ign.com/

I loved it when he was just dumping the ducks in there. And yeah, the glasses picking up the water was great. The demo with the leaves was pretty neat too. They showed some of the next Getaway. Too much to see
-
IGN actually is reporting all the vids are real time. I dunno what you guys are smoking....
-
The Unreal 3 trailer was realtime, because he actually STOPPED it in real time to show us things. It was in the press conf.
-
Yes U3 was realtime, also that EA boxing game ( the games were being manipulated) and the tech demos..
The guys I talked to said KZ looks to be real-time also (but obviously scripted). They are using effects that could be made PERFECT on a offline render. The KZ shots are however not perfect, there are signs that show that they are realtime (blurr effects, shadows, lightning, polygon, textures), according to these guys at least.
Also one journo working for RESET said his man over at E3 said he was told they were rendered in real time.

See I don\'t want to get flamed for saying they were ALL real time, but certain one\'s were obvious they were.

I have only mentioned Unreal 3 and that EA boxer, plus KZ which LOOKS to be real time but we dont know for sure yet.
There are tell-tails in some of the other pics also.

Hint: There are jaggies present in this picture. ;)

Anyone who finds direct feed videos that can be saved target as please do post :)
-
That controller...... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!
-
I need confirmation!!Is the footage shown from the games in real time???I ve seen some videos but they are way too detailed to believe that the PS3 can do that!
Yet ign doesnt say anything! They talk as if they were indeed real time!
That Killzone video is way too much.

It\'s being tossed around it\'s real time/CGI time will tell.

Uhm, no they won\'t. These are VERY early demos of the machines capabilities and only been in development for a couple of months. Didn\'t you hear Tim Sweeney say that they only had been working on the PS3 for 2 months and already it looks that great?
Expect it to look a better when finished.

Yeah I did catch the 2 month comment from the unreal guys, and there was some game footage in the conference feed as well that looked impressive.
I\'m just cautious because of the whole PS2 fiasco and the way they went about showing off the capabilities of the that machine.
I\'ll still be waiting for the in game vids we should be seeing in the near future.

When you watch the conference feed, they do some things that proves realtime graphics.
What impresses me the most was the Unreal 3 demo that took only 2 months on PS3 hardware to make. Thats a far cry from the PS2 and its architexture, which means there should be some significant improvements in the near future as dev\'s get better at it.

PS3 is gonna be much easier to program than ps2 from everything i\'m reading. OpenGL and the cell software IBM produced should help. Bringing Nvidia (like \'em or hate \'em) is the best thing Sony could have done to make it easier on developers.
Of course, time will tell. But i\'m blown away that they got Unreal Tournament 2007 (demo) running real-time in only 2 months. :D
