Everybody\'s favorite Pontiac, Rob Grand Am.
I\'m prepared for your negativity, but I\'m really psyched about how this turned out!

wonderful
where do you plan on putting the honda and vtech and typeR logos at
-
It looks like a toy car.
-
Hehe, gotta love the crowd here. I\'d love to see a stand up comedian trying to get a break here...
-
It needs rims, but I think it looks fine. Not everyone has 5 figures to slam on a car. I think you did a good job.
-
so..what? you think you da man now Eiksirf?...i will find out where you live and challenge you to a drag race on I-78 in my 2000 90 hp chevy metro and blow your f**kin\' doors off! :p...heh j/k nice whip bro, i\'m not really a grand am fan, but yours looks good, i personally would throw some rims on it and lose the stripes, but that\'s just me...nice body kit...i\'ve seen some ugly ass kits that has made the car look like that 60\'s batmobile....

That was an awesome batmobile.

tru indeed...and even tho that series batman was nothing like how the dark knight is being portrayed today, i still used to watch that...yes as corny as robin\'s one liner\'s was, i thought it was still a good show. i think the batman that used to be on the animated show "superfriends" was based around that 60\'s character...that batman from the superfriends wasn\'t dark or fearful at all....ahhh but those were different times back then...

pink slips bitch!
I guess you CAN polish a turd...or at least attempt to.

the car looks good, Im just wondering why you put a different background on the car?
-
Paint it superblack with either dak grey or no stripes for the win. Not digging the orange on white.
Good job anyway, and I say that because even though I like cars, I\'m also a really *really* nice guy. ;)
edit- nice catch MPT hah. C\'mon man we wanna see your house!!
-
It turned out bettern than i thought it would, but i agree, the orange stripes arent doing it for me (not that they have to). With a kit it could definately benefit from some rims (hopefully not some super bling, super heavy ones).
Still though, it turned out better than i thought. The pic you posted before looked like ass. This is a bit better.
-
Glad most people enjoy it.
Better than ass. That\'s what I was going for. :)
I didn\'t swap the background, that\'s my driveway. I just blurred it out to make the car stand out more.
Without the stripes it was way too white. I\'m digging the look.
The rims are chrome, but stock size. It\'s hard to tell from the photo. If I knew I\'d go this far, I woulda got 17s when I got them, but I\'m not forking out that kind of cash now.
For the most part, she\'s done.

weird.. you must have cropped out the car then, added a shadow, and laid the car back on the blurred background? cause the back tire has a different color on the bottom of it. Plus it looks like the car itself has a bit of a blur around the edge to try and make it match its background a little more.
Am I right? Sorry... curiosity has the best of me.
-
Nah I only have Paint Shop Pro so I did a point to point selection around the car which is why I grabbed a few pixels of car here and there, inverted the selection and blurred it. I also darkened it a bit, the background. Then I letter boxed the picture.
The blip under the tire is a bit of driveway that I missed selecting when I darkened it.

aha! im not too familliar with paintshop pro

It\'s the poor man\'s Photoshop.
Not as many effects and the overlay tools aren\'t so hot.

You\'re giving Paintshop too much credit. It\'s actually a lot worse than that. ;) You should download "The GIMP". It\'s a far better editing tool than Paintshop with a load of tools/filters...and it\'s 100% free...which is ridiculous for a program like that.
Paintshop pales in comparion:

The only way that car would be cool would be with flat black paint overall, and semigloss black stripes. That would hide some of the awfulness like those stupid ridges on the doors.
Also... clear the corners!
-
The only thing nicer looking than white on a Grand Am is silver.
The ridges on the door are a staple of the car\'s design. That\'d be like getting rid of the split grill. (Not to mention I\'d have to fill the holes and have the doors sprayed. F that, heh.)
Not sure what you mean by clear the corners, though.

Looks pretty darn good to me
-
Cleared corners means replace the amber diffusers covering the front turn signals with clear diffusers, or just remove the amber diffusers altogether. Install amber bulbs instead of clear bulbs, and the turn signals work the same, but look much better.
-
Oh I getcha. Actually, I went with orange to match the turn signals. I used to use headlight covers, but they never fit right, so now I do without them.

The T-birds (my model year) were weird with the turn signals. It had a clear corner but then they added in an amber kind of disk to it and then put in a yellow bulb. I\'m gonna eventually swap out the corner that has the yellow disk with one that is completely clear, then I\'ll decide if I want to keep in the amber bulbs or not.
