Apprently these are all in real-time, and were showcased behind closed doors at the sega presentation.

Very impressive for a first gen game, But I must add I would like some type of conformation from the developer that these are real-time, not that i don\'t think this is possible on next gen, but you understand why we have to ask these questions.
What do you guys think?
-
Last 2 may be real-time, but not the first two.
Looks alright, but the gameplay looks 20th century ;)
-
hehehe, we will have to wait and see(they do look FMV). Can you imagine THX if all the scraps of wood acted as separate objects with real time physics. That woukd take serious processing power
-
that top pic reminds me of a part of HL2.. but on steriods. I\'m not getting my hopes up that the graphics will be that good, but i\'m not going to say games won\'t look like that either.
I know what my 6800Gt can do and this doesn\'t look lightyears ahead of what it is capable of. But is definately a huge leap over xbox and ps2... definately.
-
The second one probably is real-time. Around the curvy bits, you\'ll notice very clear polygonal edges. You need to look twice because there are enough subdivisions there to provide the illusion, but they\'re there. There\'s no reason for a pre-render to have any of that.
-
yeah I see them too.. the left arm (his left)
of the mech in the foreground has several "edges" that are easy to see.
-
huh?Werent these from the Gundam tech demo shown on PS3 at the Sony Conference??
-
you know what... you may be onto something here

-
Yep.I knew something was wrong. ;)
-
so can someone please post the real pics of chrome hounds and not the Gundam demo shown for the ps3?
-
Also if I am right that sega "game" isnt only for XBOX360 either. It was shocased as a next gen title generally.
-
SO what hardware is it running of off? I am even more suspicious that these are not real-time then.
-
Probably on their new arcade board hardware. The first pics though are totally irrelevant. They are from the PS3 Gundam Demo.
-
yep your right, I just confirmed it. I see they were comparing the 2 shots. So we now know that the first 2 pics are pr-rendered. Damn those pics were sexy.
-
Ah common ! I can litterally count the polygon edges on the robots. Even if it is from prerendered footage, the polymodels look like doable on both Xbox360 and PS3.
But hey, I\'m curious if Capcom make Tekki into Next Gen ; Tekki\'s mech designs rule all :thepimp:
-
told ya so! ;)
-
Considering this was shown at the PS3 conference and not the Xbox 360...
...
Anyway...based on this quote it sounds like it may not just be for PS3:
Though the teaser was one of the shortest of Sony\'s E3 press event, the PlayStation 3 edition of Mobile Suit Gundam...
-
I\'ve found cooler images from this game. Woot ! The mech designs rock ! :nerd:

Reminds me of front mission mechs.
