Well my daughters bought me a steering wheel for my ps2 for fathersday it\'s wireless and it works great. I just need to get used to it but from what i just played it seems great, everything is right there on the wheel, so im happy.
-
Gonna play GT4 on it?
-
wheels are definately cool.. do you have to calibrate them or can you adjust the sensitivity of the turning radius (or whatever you would call that)?
-
wheels are definately the way to go with driving games, before I got mine, I was quite content with using my controller. Once you experience driving with a wheel, you never want to go back.
I can\'t imagine playing any racing game with the controller now.
-
I think i need to read the instructions on calibrating it. Otherwise i just went in and played, and i do think i will play gt4 once i get it.
-
Back in the N64/PS1 era I tried a wheel and while it was neat, it didn\'t provide the precise control of the standard controller.
Are the new/expensive models as accurate?
-Dan
-
I think it is pretty accurate, not sure what you think is expensive.I dont think they spent a lot but i dont care i like it.
-
back in those days they didnt have analog control on the n64/ps1 wheels
so precise turns weren\'t there - it was matter how long you pressed left or right not how hard
-
Actually, NAMCO had an analog controller called "NeGcon" and the first Wipeout had an analog setting. This was one of the first games to impliment analog control. Also, Gran Turismo had analog settings for the NeGcon.
-
I like the fact everything is right there by my hand.
-
I\'m surprised, given the N64\'s analog controller. But that actually makes a lot of sense. I bet the newer wheels are much better because of it.

I wish my kids would hurry up and pop out, get a job and buy me stuff.
Lazy bums.
-
Kids? That\'s what illegal immigrants are for. You should be harboring a few hundred of those little bastards to work for you and buy you the luxuries in life that you deserve.
-
I didn\'t know you could do that! I wish we didn\'t put our illegal immigrants in prison. :(

Most of them have taken summer jobs from American teens. So...lazy teens will steal stuff from fre4d4....or vandalizing. :)

Since the stroke, my relationship with my daughters has gotten much better.I speak to them at least a couple times a week, and are always looking out for me.

Jeez. Well, I know someone who had a stroke like you. Left side pretty much paralyzed. He went to therapy and after 2 years, he was literally back to about 90%! One of the things they did was to get him to play dominoes with his left hand only. It somehow got his brain to rewire the nerves and got control of his left side again.
Granted, not everyone can get there. People are different. I pray you get better.
-
:(
I know you feel fre4d4 (just not as extreme) because I can\'t run ever again (or even jog) due to a knee injury years ago. I hope you can overcome this and I wish you the best of luck.

You think you\'ll ever get movement back? I\'m sure if you try hard and work hard, you will.
-
Well i hope to get much of it back,my left arm, really does not do much.I do exercises daily for it if i get a good yawning dtrech i can straighten the fingers but i can not controll them. I seem to be having better luck with the leg.It is in a AFO brace, which goes from my foot to about two inches shy of my hip.The locks are at the knee which i have to lock before standing, i can then walk with he tuse of my cane a simple aluminum cane.I I never give up,this is just anotherh challege i intend to comquer. think the greatest failure is not trying at all.I know God is not finished with me, i could have checked out that night if he wantedme gone. Yep its back to therapy build up my strength, get driving again.
-
If the dominoes thing works, maybe trying to use your left hand to help type can help, too.

Unfortunatly my left hand does not work at all im always trying to move it.And i hope one day the nerves respond, i can\'t begin to tell you how aggrivating this is.

y\'know my aunt who lives in north carolina had a stroke a few years back...and her whole left side is paralyzed...she can barely move her fingers...she was going to therapy, but it was becoming increasingly hard for her to keep up with it as she is an older woman...so she stopped for a while, but when she tried to back to therapy at least from what i understand, is that she couldn\'t do anything because her joints became so stiff from no activity, that it was painful for her to even move..:(
it seems these types of things only happen to the nicest people you know and my aunt is one of those people,..this s**t almost never happens to real a$$holes that deserve it. i know i don\'t need to tell you this fre4d4 but keep the faith bro....god is workin\' miracles as we speak,...it\'s just not your turn yet...:thumb:

I hear you loud and clear, my friend i have no doubt God still has plans for me, the funny thing is when i had the stroke i was studying for full time ministry. For a while i just sat hear and felt sorry for myself.I sat down with my pastor who has been mentoring me and he told me nothing has changed, except for my body being a bit screwed up which i am hopeing more therapy will help.I am not giving up, and my brian was not effected by the stroke, yes a small amount of damage but i still have my full memory.Thank you jesus. The mighty midget attacks me unmercifly, but he is not gonna win.I hope your aunt is hanging in there.
