I hope they show this tape to the Guantanimo prisoners and tell them that Americans have been granted immortality by Allah and that Jihadist must submit to a broom stick up their asses as part of their holy ritual.
-
I liked the video. It was pretty cool. What does Allah Akbar mean?
-
^^^God is great
-
I finally get the video clip. I was confused to where did the shot came from? I just watch it again and finally understands it. I thought the shot came from the other way because the soldier was looking the other way. But it was from the terrorist sniper that is also taping the scene...*stupid me*
Good thing is the terrorist sniper is caught.

I don\'t see why they would still be saying that when the guy gets up. The soldier should be chanting God is Great when he gets up.
-
The shooter was probably bowing down over & over again with his eyes closed as soon as he saw the soldier hit the ground.
-
What kind of pansy ass weapon was he using? Body armour can it really stop a Draganov SVD sniper round?

I just watched the interview on CNN and the guy that got shot said he and his team were gathering on a block that they believe where the terrorists are. It turns out they were on the wrong side of the block. The terrorists were actually on the neighboring building.
That is why he was standing behind the car to hide himself from the terrorists. But he got hit to realize the terrorist were actually on the other side. So, he got up and hide on the other side of the car. Later, he chased down the terrorist who he believed shot him and he ran into some houses to get information to which way the terrorist went. After the chase, he got the terrorist down and he bandaged him and locked him up.
The reporter asked, "you got shot by this guy, but you still treated him." he said he\'s a medic and its his job to treats them.
-
Faston- heard it was a measily AK47 with a scope. You\'re right a real sniper rifle would have torn through that armor with no problem
Paul- Thanks for the info! Glad you got to catch the interview, pretty crazy story behind that video.

umm... AK rounds are no joke, especially at less than 150 meters.... 7.62x39mm was punching holes in a 1/4" plate of steel I had hanging from a rope at 75 meters.
allah akbar my ass...
but you are correct, a7.62x54mm dragonuv would have gone right through him...

Thanks for the info, didn\'t know that. So are you allowed to own an AK legally or what? I\'ve only ever seen em in museums.
-
you can own a semi-auto ak, yes. I have owned a few in the last couple of years. Right now I only have a MAK-90. (chinese model for import)

How do they compare to M16s? More lethal, less accurate?
-
Wow nice Chizzy. :)
I might get a weapons license some day, I have always wanted a Mauser rifle. Its kind of gay you even need a license for a properly deactivated weapon. :ghey:
-
From what I\'ve heard,
AK - Bigger round, greater damage, slower rate of fire, more reliable in real world conditions (dirt, snow, water), less accurate, shorter range.
M-16 - Smaller round, less damage, faster rate of fire, less reliable when dirty, more accurate, greater range.
-
Thats about what I heard also.
I read a post somewhere from a Finnish guy serving in the Finnish military, they use some sort of AK clone. He said you could bury it in a pile of dirt come back the next day and it would still work. Exaggeration of course but it probably is very reliable.

I had a Colt AR15 for a while, and I can\'t imagine having to field strip it under duress to clear a jam. The rifle itself is a wonder of engineering, beautiful firing weapon. But it takes literally 10 seconds to have the receiver completely apart on an AK. Under the receiver cover there is a gas piston/bolt carrier assembly (one piece) and the bolt. That\'s it. The trigger, sear, and hammer are lying right there once you slide those two out. On the AR15, there are literally a dozen if not more parts to do the same thing. But, the AR15 is virtually recoilless, as it has a buffer spring in the buttstock, so there is almost no muzzle climb while firing at a high rate. My AK has a compensator on the muzzle, and it still climbs like a bitch. But the .223 round of the AR will disintegrate if you hit a leaf.
I\'d rather have the AK in a heated situation myself.
