Never been one for harry potter, i personally read my bible everyday.
My favorite author is Clive Cussler
-
I read anything thrown in my face.
-
i don\'t have any favorite authors...i\'ll read anything as well...as long as it\'s good. i mostly like that weird sci fi stuff. y\'know stories like the twighlight zone but with a strong suspenseful and freightful theme....a read a short story from a member here not too long ago, and his work was extremely impressive...i think it was ghetto, not sure, but whoever it was, i\'m hoping he finishes that horror story, it was really a good read...
-
My favorite author is Alan Moore.
That tells you right there what I like to read.. :)
-
Some of my favorite authors are
Larry Flint and Hugh Marston Hefner
-
Thomas the tank engine
-
I\'ve taken a liking to Jeffrey Deaver (The Bone Collector), Dan Brown (The DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons, and others), and Anne Rice.
I\'m currently dividing my reading time between three books; Queen of the Damned, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and a reading assignment for my summer Political Science course, God\'s Politics: Why the Right Gets it Wrong and the Left doesn\'t Get it.
I\'m searching for a new author, a good horror series and some good mystery/suspense novels would be great. Any suggestions?
-
I\'m not a reader at all, but there\'s one book which i really like though ; "Het huis der Onbekenden" (House of the Unknown)
by Belgium writer Jos Vandeloo.
It\'s a surrealistic novel about a man comes home and doesn\'t recognize his wife and son anymore. He thinks it\'s a huge practical joke from the kid\'s school ; \'familiy switch for a day\'.
But the woman and kid he doesn\'t recognize as his family keep persistent in claiming they are indeed his wife and son........
Basically it\'s an existentialism book. Very gripping. Read it in about 2 evenings.
-
magazines with lots of pictures.
-
Reading is cool guys! Seriously.
But screw Dan Brown.
I\'m a fan of the classics. If you haven\'t read:
Moby Dick
Gravity\'s Rainbow
The Magus
A Light in August
Anything Vonnegut
Atlas Shrugged
Please, take the summer and do yourself a favor.
Clips, I do write short stories, but I\'m never sure if I posted them in these forums before. Maybe it was someone else.
-
I\'ve gone back to the classics. Reading Greek Mythologies again.
Homer is the man.
-
My favorite are mysery books and fantasy books. Hence, may explains why I am into RPG games like FFVII so much..
-
currently i\'m reading psx2central.. sometimes i like to read ps2nfo or geoshock.
-
In HS I used to like the Hardy Boys series and Christopher Pike for some cheesy horror fun.
Right now I just read the Bible everyday and waste my time on the internets way too much.

 I seriously remember reading that author\'s books back in HS. They were ok.
Right now I just read the Bible everyday
Proverbs are meaningful.
and waste my time on the internets way too much.
Still doing the bodybuilder thing?
-
I like classics and sci-fi, but basically I\'ll read anything good.
Right now I\'m reading \'Crime and Punishment\' by Dostojevskij. Next up is \'The Idiot\'. And after that \'Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps, and the Tenth Dimension\'.
-
\'Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps, and the Tenth Dimension\'
Sounds interesting. You definitely sound like a science buff.
-
Currently reading through the Foundation novels by Asimov. They\'re fairly good.
Arthur C. Clarke is my favorite author. With the Rendevous with Rama novels being at the top of the list. Childhood\'s End is fantastic, too. Along with all his other stuff.
-
it was actually weltall who wrote those short stories i mentioned...he hasn\'t been around for awhile...

Off topic. Rikku, I\'ve never seen you on the board until today. Did you change your name or am I just blind?
-
I\'ve been a member here since 2002 I believe. I don\'t post in off-topic very often.

That would be why. I live in off-topic like a lot of the other guys here. I try to lurk as much as possible though.

Hah, now I\'m not the only one. Kinda weird how always worked in some kinda weird sex stuff. I didn\'t mind other than it felt out of place with everything else.

Trying to. Only worked out 3x this week. :( It\'s tough going when you get real busy. You still go to the gym too? I know you and omen are monstrosities.
-
Im gonna try and read moby dick again i tried a few years ago and did not have a great deal of patiece, now i find my self with much more time on my hands.
-
True cime.
Comics
Porn
-
Porn has been one of my biggest downfalls, been fighting with it for 30 years.
Im in the midst of a series called the NEPHILIM SERIES by LA MARZULLI
Itt has to do with the giant\'s and fallen angels mentioned in the bible.
-
I\'m also into the classics. Books sitting on my shelf:
Les Miserables (books don\'t get any better than this)
Count of Monte Cristo (another personal favorite)
Three Musketeers (overrated)
Crime and Punishment (best I\'ve read from Dostoyevsky)
The Brothers Karamazov (a bore)
War and Peace (unnecessarily long)
Of Human Bondage (loved it)
East of Eden (a GREAT book, better than Grapes of Wrath IMO)
Emma + Pride and Prejudice (utter garbage)
The Tale of Genji (hopefully I\'ll get back to it someday)
-
I\'m reading through Supreme Power (issues #1-17) right now.
Freakin\' sweet.

That has to be the kinkiest sounding porno I\'ve ever heard.
Where.. uhh...
...
...where can I get a copy?
-
I got it as a three book set at cbd.com, i just looked and barnes and noble had it to..
aS FOR THE PORN GOT HOOKED WHEN I WAS 15, and i have been trying to break the habit ever since.
-
I was hooked on sex at 15. Yeah, in highschool, all I did was have sex with every girl I dated. Even the girlfriends of other guys. :) College, my life was like a long porn movie.....but with me in it. Wow. Glad I didn\'t catch anything.
Anyway, I\'ve settled down now. So...it\'s just sex on the couch or bed and no more kinky stuff like when I was a student (library, parking lot, movie theatre, GF\'s kitchen while her mom was watching TV....).
Sex = healthy exercise.
-
With me it was magazines in my dads closet, pretty vivid stuff then my first wife we had nothing but problems and saw this girl on the once a week, and that lasted till my my wife and i divorsed.Went crossed country driving tractor trailers, and those southern bells in the deep south really meant it when asked will there beAnything else sir oh yeah .Finally said im gonna die if i dont go home, then graduated to internet porn tough as hell to break, that temptation,
-
Hmm....I wonder where I\'d be now if I didn\'t get married?
-
I hear you, took me a couple times to find the right girl

Not me. Off Topic is like the water cooler conversation. He\'s talking about porn...and I\'m talking about living it. If you want to add something...please do. Like...do you have a hot sister? Or MILF? :p
-
Creeping people out, oh please, Fine i will change the topic.Asfor your question i wont even give it a response.
-
Pay no attention to Ghettomath, he\'s an American-hating flag burner. ;)
I used to have a problem with pr0n but not anymore. Just whack it to more tasteful (non-nude) material, not only is the guilt gone, but your labido is multiplid by a factor of 12! Why do you think I have all those pics of my sister laying around?

You need to keep quiet...coz you grab dicks in shower rooms. :p

Don\'t use other people to bring out your inner thoughts/desires/secrets. It\'s ok if that\'s your dad...and it\'s ok that you\'re flamboyantly flaming gay and grab dicks in shower rooms. We just like you for who you are...
