Found out about this a couple of month ago.
Some kind of bug makes windows crash. Dont know if SP2 has fixed this. Havent had the chance to test it yet.
Warning: Dont know if it works, Please kill all important work curently on your computer if you have Windows.

Some browsers are immune to this bug
-
Firefox works great
-
I know opera are supposed to be immune. So Firefox works fine 2. Nice. Maybe the bug is actually in Internet Explorer.
-
Works fine here. Using IE and SP2.
-
Test now Samwise.......
-
How is this supposed to make Windows crash?
-
well you tell me? It actually does the job very good.
-
evi,
look at the dimensions
makes IE sluggish for me, but then the image begins to load
go go 2GB ram
/shrug
-
on this compy (p3 800, 384mb ram, xp sp1) it crashed it hard. Couldn\'t do a damn thing.
Another nail in Xbox\'s coffin
-
look at the dimensions
Yes, the dimensions are what struck me the most. However, it ran perfectly fine in Firefox.
Har har...this is so funny:

The only error I had was an image that loaded saying I had an error. Oh no!!!!
*lame*

That is actually true but this has to do with Windows XP. The big doesnt work on older versions of Windows.

Some browsers are immune to this bug
Make your mind up.
Is it a browser problem or Windows?
If Opera and Firefox are immune to it, it would seem like an IE problem to me.
-
I will make up my mind.
I say that if you have Opera you are safe. If you have IE or FF you are not safe.If you are running win 95, 98, ME and IE or FF you are safe.
If you have NT you are not safe. So it is acombination of OS and browser, ok

neither
it\'s a memory issue
-
so why does my mac have no issues and have a quarter of the memory of your pc.
<<
-
First link Firefox doesn\'t crash.
Second link...it starts to crash, but then shows a black screen on the webpage and then decides to crash.
Internet Explorer...crashed instantly on both.
My Apple PC...didn\'t crash on either link.
I need a faster Windows PC. :/
