So heres my current desktop.

I\'ve changed, Desktop icons, folder icons, shell icons, drive icons etc. Changed background, Login / Logoff / Boot screens, IE Bar, all sounds. The only thing i\'ve left was the color scheme and icon sizes.

I just disabled themes to see if it made a difference in resources. oddly enough i have less now then i had before.

Restarted the pc, got 80 meg back.. wow.

wait... restarded again with the theme back on (just to be fair) and i lost 10 meg.. So its just a 10 meg difference between using a theme and not using one.. wow again.

Anyhoo, skinning can be made for productivity like I keep my desktop at the moment, all colors designed to be relaxing and all elements made to stand out with out looking garish, colors assigned to specific tasks for instance.

Exactly, like mine.. I have my Newsfeeds on the desktop and my Weather widget, so that I don\'t have to go to weather.com for a constant update.
