Title: ATI, Nvidia Add HDMI Interface to Graphics Cards

It looks like this HDMI v1.2 will replace current DVI.

I also read about a week ago that VESA is working on a new video input/output standard that will replace VGA.  Its called displayport and it can transfer up to a speed of 10.8 Gbits per second and also support sound too.

Talks about technology advancement.

The quicker it makes it to PC the quicker it can be cracked. :jb:

Just a couple of months ago people found out how to copy DVD-As.

Well, it comes loads with goodies as its the first unified connector that can transport both digital audio and digital video with bandwidth to spare.

I don\'t mind the copy-protection side of it that much other than my display only has DVI with DHCP.

The VGA / DVI installed base is too huge for HDMI to make a quick commercial revolution.

The transition will be gradually.
