Freakin\' had to wait an hour for gas, coz half the gas stations are out of fuel. And the price is about $0.70 more expensive: around $3.29 a gallon.
And why was the Dance Dance thread locked? Not everyone knew about that. I was gonna post the article regarding the video. And as usual, mm spews his basement dwelling inferiority complex. What a racist loser.

Gas problem is because LA has a gas line that supplied 15-25% of the nation\'s gas, and it\'s been stopped.
Heard rumors that all gas stations in DC closed at 2pm. Turned out it was just that, a rumor. But I did see a station only offering premium, for $3.29. Right down the street you could get it all for less.

Personally, I dont think so- the money we spend creating that should be put into energy alternatives.

I think the gubment should have a strong energy-alternative department. Hire the top engineers, scientists, and whoever else needed to make something to efficiently replace the internal combustion engine. That won\'t ever happen so right now it\'s in the hands of the private sector.
Toyota and Honda seem to be doing a good job but I think much more can be done if people weren\'t making so much off of oil.

I hate the whole "well Europe pays more" argument... If you put it into perspective we pretty much break even, because their cars are so much smaller in accordance to their tiny roads, and fuel efficient. Since we actually were innovative and constructed large highways we built bigger cars. My parents live in Italy and my mom drives a Ford Mundeo which doesn\'t have to be filled for like weeks.

its 2.99 and 9/10ths by me. I guarantee noone here will really complain and it wont be on the news until it hits 3 bucks, then its all of a sudden armageddon and were going to be poor. IT WENT UP A WHOLE 10th OF A CENT! It is pretty phsycological seeing a 2 on the board there instead of a 3...guess their hoping itll attract more people there instead of other places.
Up north a bit it gets really expensive.

Katrina caused a massive increase. What was 2.94 a gallon, is now 3.04 a gallon here in Kentucky. I won\'t sit here and complain about the prices, but I am curious as to when it will go back down or if it\'ll go back down. This could be one of those things we will just have to learn to live with.

How did you measure that?
What you fail to understand is that there only a certain amount of cheap oil we can extract from the earth and reserves of that oil is decreasing and its becoming harder to extract since we are running out of it.
Its extremely costy to extract every bit of oil from earth\'s deeper layers and thats not the same as the oil we have been extracting and proccesing.
Its costly inneficient, productiively inneficient, more time consuming that there is no point.
And the oil we know now didnt take only centuries to have the form we are using. We are talking about millions of years.
Earth is not a factory that produces oil on our demand.Our demand is increasing more than the supply.Thats why the price increase.
Its ecomonics.

40 years may seem like a long time but its not.This is something that concerns many economologists, politicians and scientists.
Almost everything that uses energy uses oil.
