It\'s amazing too look back and see how many years its been, yet it still seems like yesterday.
Has anyone heard about the videogame/movie they are making on the attacks?
 Idiots.
-
Yeah - it\'s been four years. I remember it was the day I started my current job. Weird.
Oh well.
-
Why are you curious about possible productions of games / movies related to the 9/11 event while your against it ?
WW2 happened, yet, to this day the media industries churn out massive WW2 movies and games.
-
I think it\'s a little too soon for a 9/11 movie.
WW2 was like 50 years ago. Thats a big difference from 4 years.
-
Yea, Luke\'s right, they need to wait at least a decade or so before they make movies on such events like 9/11 unless your name is Michael Moore.
-
funny thing how some people are idiots.
The other day I and a few people were talking about that it has been four years and somebody brought up if there would be any ceremony or whatnot, so I sarcastically said that they were going to celebrate it with a huge fireworks show......those stupid idiots did not see the irony of that statement and belived me.... I laughed
-
they\'re going to make a cake of the wtc, with aeroplane candies insead of flower ones. :)
-
Little to soon for movies, or video games. It is unfortunate that some idiot looks to make money on others misfortune.
-
A videogame seems like a bit much, but they\'ve been putting out all those \'made for tv\' movies and such on 9/11 for years now havent they?
-
History channel has been banking on the WTC disaster for years.
-
Game and movie? Its way too soon.
-
Pussies
-
It\'s been four years, time to move on people.
-
It forever changed the world.
You can\'t just really move on. It will forever have a social impact on every generation from now on.

Move on. Life has changed. You changed. Move on.

easy for you to say, you didn\'t have a loved one involved. You just watched it on the news like everyone else. Now you want to see an action movie or play a videogame about it, what\'s the point?
-
(e),
I can understand that making a movie or game about, or related to, the 9/11 event is going too far (at least, to a lot of ppl) but why then start a thread in which you try to inquire info on supposedly in development 9/11 games / movies ?
-

:stick:

Yeah, no kidding.

He wasn\'t. He was just asking if anyone had actually heard of it before.
-
It was a life changing moment for about everyone in the US. I can still remember what happened when I heard
-
Let me rephrase - if you did not have a loved one that was struck by it, please move on. I did not have anyone in it - therefor, I can safely move on. Yes, it changed the world we live in, but I honestly have not given 9/11 any thought since four years ago.
I don\'t see the point in constantly looking back at it. We learned from it and now we need to move on.
-
move on
-
Yeah people should forget what happened in the past, be passive about it, and not ponder about what this ment for their country
People are moving on with their lives anyways. But it doesnt mean they wont talk about it, remember it or seek for answers.
Its ironic that people are being told that, while at the elections, parties were trying to remind people for the great terrorist attack.
-
"move on" does not imply that we should forget
anyone forget the oklahoma city bombing?
world war II?
the fall of rome?
9/11 does not need a big theatrical production every year like the rose bowl parade
i remember my school had a "compassion seminar" on the 1 year anniversary of 9/11. i had to attend because i worked for the IT dept and didnt have a choice. they handed out small candles and said the "pledge of allegiance" in a big circle around the room. most surreal moment ever for me.
-
I dont think anyone here overeacted about the incident.
-
ok, how many more years do i have to see a 9/11 post on the offtopic forum...or hear someone talk about it?
what about 4/19? i dont see someone talk about that date every year.
or 10/24?
or 11/22?
these dates are meaningless to 99.9% of americans
-
4 years after an attack as huge as the one that happened in 9/11 isnt a long time.
Also you should blame the elections for not letting go since that was a matter being brought up a lot this year

Ah, so that\'s how they\'re doing circle jerks now.
-
well, they wanted to sing the national anthem, but not enough people knew the words
:lmao:
-
Ok I missed that point. That is indeed overeracting and stupid :p
But I was refering to the people here.
-
Here in the DC area we watched this video and had to sing along once we learned the words:

Moving on is fine, but there is nothing wrong with a memorial service. The asshole-mentality is strong in this thread.
-
memorial service and media spinfest are two different things
which service did you attend or take part in?
-
i say do whatever you fucking want, just dont try and get others involved forcefully
-
Or show what you are doing to others forcefully
-
or in the very least try to criticize our lack of interest
-
Thank you Jesus! I am not alone, someone understands what the hell I was saying about moving on.
Like MM said, we never see anything about the Okalahoma City bombin\' and it was just as tragic.
Move on, people.
-
AMERICA!! FUCK YEAH!! COMIN\' AGAIN TO SAVE THE MUTHERFUCKIN\' DAY YEAH!!!"

Thats not true. Every year on the bombings anniversary they have memorial services, news tidbits, articles etc.
The thing that makes 9/11 stand out is it was so massive. An airplane, into a building. Thats just fucking crazy.
I think we need to remember, and honor those lost- but we do need to look ahead.
(9/11 sellout example: IN town they are building a memorial - buy a brick with your name, or lost one. Subway bought one saying "Subway sponsors 9/11 tragedy". Terrible, just terrible  )
