Why doesn\'t Marvel dig into the past at Marvel UK and bring us Captain Britain?

Shoehorn Alan Moore\'s run into 2½ hours.. I\'ll watch it.

Most of the people dont know any of these superheroes excluding Captain America ofcourse.
Either nobody is going to give a damn about them or they might like them because they wont be able to compare with the comics.

Iron man / war machine would be a pretty cool movie, if they could pull it off.   Punisher 2 should contain nick fury as a main character too.

As for the rest of them, they will be shit!!

It made more than it\'s budget and the sequel is in production as we speak.

You should watch movies before you judge them. Not to mention, look up how much the movie made in sales, before you decide it was a "failure".

They weren\'t going to do X3 if Hugh didn\'t agree to do another movie, but he did...so yay. The Wolverine movie should be interesting.

Doctor Strange would be awesome if it was done right.

Captain America might be good, but I would not expect very much from it.  The Red Skull might give this project some hope.  Still not optimistic.

Here\'s what they need to do before many of the stupid ones on the above list (Ant-Mat?  WTF?):

****  Silver Surfer, preferably as a computer animated feature film.  Be sure to include Galactus and The Watcher.  :)

Prince Namor, the Submariner.  A strange concept for audiences to grasp, but this character has a lot of depth.

Ghost Rider
Thor
Captain Marvel, of course.  !!!

I don\'t know much about Ghost Rider.

But i\'m pretty sure the movie is PG-13...aren\'t the comics not in PG-13 territory?

I guess what i\'m getting at is I hope its not a watered down comic book movie.

anyone remember Spawn..?
ummm, yeah....

IMO the spawn movie should of been a feature length animated film. Done by the same team and actors who did the HBO cartoon series. That show captured the comic perfectly I thought.

Thank goodness someone understands how the industry works.

If a movie beats budget, a sequel is a go. When you considering beating budget, you take in international, along with DVD sales.

As for X3, I hope it proves more interesting than the first two and I won\'t even bother watching a Wolverine movie.

I hope it\'s better than the first two. And they needed a third one because they couldn\'t have the whole Phoenix thing at the end and just stop it there. I\'d gouge out my eyes.

i know this but they had to figure it would do better numbers. The second one does not stand a chance at the box office. It will gross less than the first one. Should go str8 to dvd

EEEEEEEHHHH..
Wrong answer.
Yes, yes she is.
Title: Marvel Comics new heros to movies
Post by: Paul2 on September 29, 2005, 04:26:47 AM
hmm, that\'s one of the things I am confused about the word "yes" and "no" because it can go both ways in answering.

Like this one for instance when Viper said he think halle Berry wasn\'t playing storm anymore.

I find that answering "yes" can mean both way.  Like "yes, you are right.  She\'s not playing storm anymore."  Or "Yes, she is still playing storm."

Same thing with answering "no" which can go both ways too.  Like, "No, she\'s not playing storm in the 3rd movie."  Or "No, you are wrong.  She\'s still playing storm."

my head is spinny.

A little off topic again but that just made me realize that LIC can give his answer in either yes or no too.

Like this,

"Yes, yes she is (still playing storm)."

"No, she is (still playing storm)."

The reason why "No" works is by saying "no", he\'s disagreeing with what Viper said, instead of agreeing with what viper said that she\'s "no" longer playing storm.

You\'d have a bitch of a time learning Japanese with yes and no being complete opposites depending on the situation.

.....

Let\'s do a quick summary.

Blade - Good movie, bit corny sometimes, but overall it was good.

X-Men  - The suck. Bad casting. Bad directing. Terrible story.

Spider - Man - Bad acting and the worst outfits ever.

Blade II - Decent. I like it more than the first.

X2 - I sort of dig this one. It\'s a lot better than the first, but it could of used a lot of editing, it just seems to drag on forever near the end.

Daredevil - Not the worst, but not the best. Dump the Elektra character and it could of been a lot better.

Spider - Man 2 - Rami is a hack. I said it. It\'s a decent film, but it doesn\'t deserve near the hype it has received. The writing is pure garbage.

Fantastic Four - Ehh...I expected the worse , but it wasn\'t. They ruined Dr.Doom tho\'!

The Hulk - I for one liked this one, minus the times Ang Lee decided to use split frames and comic book frames. Oh and the mess at the end.

Elektra - Oh...My...God. This is as bad as Catwoman..........

Marvel films tend to be "teh suck". Sad, but true. Then again, DC films aren\'t exactly great, I mean you have Burton\'s \'Batman\', Donner\'s \'Superman\' and Nolan\'s \'Batman Begins\', after that the sequels have pretty muched sucked (although I do sort of enjoy \'Superman II\', I mean, who can\'t enjoy a line such as "Kneel before Zod, son of Jor El".).

I would have enoyed it except for the fact that they threw 400 issues of Spider-Man into one movie. That pissed me off. There were some intense scenes though.

Quote
Fantastic Four - Ehh...I expected the worse , but it wasn\'t. They ruined Dr.Doom tho\'!
That\'s what you get when you cast the dumb ass from Nip/Tuck as a super-villain.

Quote
Blade II - Decent. I like it more than the first.
I like the first one the best, but that\'s just me.

Quote
X-Men - The suck. Bad casting. Bad directing. Terrible story.
Written by none other than the amazing David Hayter (Solid Snake).

Quote
X2 - I sort of dig this one. It\'s a lot better than the first, but it could of used a lot of editing, it just seems to drag on forever near the end.
I\'m just such a big X-Men fan that I really enjoyed the movies despite all the flaws.

Quote
Daredevil - Not the worst, but not the best. Dump the Elektra character and it could of been a lot better.
Are you f^cking kidding me? Kingpin was black for shit\'s sake! Don\'t get me wrong, I think Michael Clarke Duncan kicks ass, but I was a bit confused when I saw Kingpin. I\'m like...it\'s supposed to be a huge white guy. I guess they couldn\'t find anyone big enough and Mikey is a huge motherf^cker.
