I was gonna post this in the marvel thread but I thought it was just too insane and it needed its own thread..

so Eric from that 70\'s show is going to play Venom in spidey 3??

Despite the fact that venom/eddie brock is like 4 times the size of spidey.. I mean....ugh...

No amount of pushing iron is going to get that guy into the Venom esque body size. Unless they make Venom a CGI character and have Topher only play Eddie Brock which I also think is a bad idea..

So what do you guys think of....Eric....playing Venom?

oh yeah, and Thomas Haden Church will play Sandman

But when I picture Venom I picture a tank. Literally they would need an actor who is AT LEAST as big as theomen or bigger.

where as Topher is like 5\'6 and probably 80 pounds of bones.

Vin was never offered the role of Venom, infact, no one even knew Venom was being casted up until right now. The villians had simlpy been rumoured.

He was watching In Good Company and the reason he rented it was because he said that\'s the guy that play Spider-Man.

He got mixed up between the two and he didn\'t know their names until recently, he found out the guy\'s name that play spider man is tobey mcGuire and realize they are two different people. And as ironic as this may sound, now Topher Grace is playing a role in Spider Man 3 with Tobey McGuire.

I have the comic where spidey shows up in the black uniform for the first time it was giving to him by an alien colony when the heros defeted something as a gift. The costume could read his mind and do some really cool stuff. It was actaully a parastie that was feeding off of him and later turned into venom...

How the hell do this skinny dude come into play again?

Maybe, maybe not. You can get pretty damn big without steroids. It\'s the low percentage of body fat that gives someone the "veiny" appearance. Also, genetics play a role (size gain and the veins). And most guys I\'ve seen who are on steroids are MUCH bigger than that.

But yes, compared to Venom, Carnage is smaller, although Carnage could rip Venom a new one. Anyone ever read the Carnage comics? That\'s come dark sh^t.

1: Mary Jane being thrown from the bridge instead of Gwen Stacey.

2: One word.........ORGANIC.

3: Doc. OCt\'s orgin

4: The whole Peter Parker / Mary Jane relationship is not faithful either. They are wrote all wrong.

I see no big surprise that he would cast Topher Grace as Venom, redo the orgin and have him more just as a bad version of Spiderman. Infact, I fully expect the Ultimate Venom version, the one missing the spider symbol and webbing.

One can only hope that Rami and his crew don\'t come back for the fourth one.

Yeah, but I don\'t think he can be CGI 100% of the time. Spider-Man was CGI at times, but not ALL the time. But with a character like Venom it\'ll probably be more often than not.
