Alright, here is an idea for a thread. Sit back and think about what your life was like and what you was doin\' this time last year. Then compare it and look how it has changed. I\'ll give an example.
This time last year, I had been promoted, just finished this PC and not doin\' a damn thing.
October of this year is a different story. Two girls on the way within the next two months. Workin\' a ton, up for another promotion. Basically doin\' everything I would of never thought about doin\'.
.........
(....Waits for someone to post..."This time last year, I was jackin\' off and ...well, still am..." )
;)

I was 24 last year, probably the worst year of my life. Freaking bored out of my mind, all my close friends were away in the military. Also just entered the rat race around this time. Pretty much finished up with college, still working at the pizza place (which I was only planning to do for 3 months) to pay off school bills. No one hiring me due to lack of experience. So yea, not a very fun time for me. :)
Now I\'m freelancing as a web designer, have 2 clients right now and am building a site around my business. (http://www.bluesurfdesigns.com). My friends are back, and we even formed a gay little band. Went townhouse hunting this past Saturday with my bro and best friend. The one we liked the best was a three level condo that\'s half a million, condo fees not included.
Also this past year I\'ve become somewhat of a healthnut, going to the gym regularly and never anything to sugary are processed. Really affects your lifestyle.
So things are looking up, but I still feel like I\'m in a slump at times. ;| Wow wasn\'t expecting to type all that useless dribble.

last year I had free time. This year I have 31 hours of class a week and DAAP owns my soul.
-
31 hours? That\'s rough.
-
I haven\'t been to sleep earlier than 1am since classes have started and I have 8am classes every day.
-
Why are you doing that Phil? Thats insane
This time last year.... I was swoll, had a clear face, tan, pretty much the best I ever looked. But I was depressed and hated my life.
-
This time last year i had a ten inch cock....
yep....... still do.

This time lastyear I was in school all the same while working at the liquor store. Since then my school situation has changed little while my new job pays twice the amount I made at the liquor store. I don\'t think much else has changed since then.
I\'ve moved into an apartment that my mom only lives in during the weekend, which gives a greater sense of independence than my dads house did. As for my love life the same girl/s still plague me which come to think of it kind of scares me. Hell it seems like this time lastyear LIC would have reemed me for such a connection to a girl and now he\'s hitched.

This time last year, I am still pretty stay at home surfing the net, and I got a dvd burner just about a month earlier. And about a month later, I remember an unrelated event happen that I lost 4 days of sleep straight. It could have been avoided but its unfortunate it has lead to that. Not only that, I also make myself look bad that time too.
This year, still stay at home, and I learned sometimes new like my dvd burner. I just bought a 3 pack DVD + DL few days go and has yet to burn anything yet. Also, just two days ago, I learned to use some software to convert my dvd video into AVI file and encode it as WMV-9 (VC-1).

I was busting it 50 hours a week in a warehouse and dealing with a bad break up. I\'m over that now and got promoted to a cushy office job where I can go online and write on this thing, heh. Spent a bunch of money on cool unecessary stuff this year, too.

I was contemplating quitting. No wait. I think I may have quit already by this time last year. I\'d have to look. I think there was a thread about it.
ANyway, I was pretty worried about how my year would go.
As of now I don\'t have a day off till after Thanksgiving. And I"ve been going non stop for 3 weeks now.
Highly frustrating not getting any time off, but it helps the bank account out a lot.
Now I just worry about next year. :)
-
this time last year, I was doing about the same....Can\'t really think of anything different. Maybe looking forward to a big bonus at work at the end of the year. It\'s sort of funny, around this time last year, we had the best month ever at work, and now we have eclipsed it every month since. Prolly gonna buy a house in the spring.

I know... I love how all of the democrats bitch and whine about the economy. People are advertising more than ever on the several shows i work on. I have almost doubled my money this year than last year. THere is money out there. You just don\'t have to be poor and have six kids living at home with no job to get it.
Oops.. Exit stage left even.

My girl and I were waiting for the closing date on a house in Tonawanda (suburb of Buffalo). Closed at the very end of October. Moved in. Has been lots of work ever since. Just typical house maintenance type stuff.
Otherwise it\'s all the same. Adopted a dog from the spca about a month ago.
Boring. I know.
-
I\'ve been doing the same shit for the last 5 years or so.
-
At that time I still hadn\'t had summer vacation :(
I was still very much in love with this girl (which proved to be futile later on)
and my first career job seemed to last for at least a year more, which wasn\'t the case after all.
Now... I\'m at another job (gamejob), and I still in need of a GF :(
I dunno.. last year began really hopefull, it was a dreamy state of mind... after November all went downhill and from April 05 things started to look up some more again..

I was working at a Home Improvement store and going to school and didn\'t have a fiance at the time.
Now I\'m working somewhat in my field of study doing craptacular help desk(getting paid more) and have a fiance. And I graduate in December.
-
Last year I had something to do, I had an income. Not this year.
Last year > This year

Screw the first question.

At this time last year i was still in the early stages of my recovery frowas still in the early stages of recovery from the stroke. I was still learning to walk with this brace and stuck in my wheelchair. Now a year later i try and leave the chair parked and mostly just walk. I have made some huge advances and use the chair when i am really tired. I still get daily headaches, but nothing like the one i had the night of the stroke.
-
Keep up the good fight bro... :)

Great thread. I don\'t post much anymore, in fact, last year about this time is when I stopped and I really don\'t have a reason why. I still view this forum at least once every other day, if not multiple times a day. I don\'t know, weird. Anyways...
This time last year I was taking care of my brother, attending a new college, going after a double major, enjoying shitty movies that other people couldn\'t stand, and blowing money on games I\'d probably never get around to finishing and contemplating purchasing World of Warcraft...
This year my brother passed away. My grandmother passed away just before that. I lost my source of income, I basically quit college, and nearly had a total fallout with my long time girlfriend. Now, I work at Cisco Systems and enjoy my job, I\'m taking some online classes -- mostly for the grant money, thanks tax payers!, my relationship is rebuilding itself, I still play WoW, and now I basically pay the rent for the entire household. I got this new bitchin\' laptop, I buy my music instead of steal it, I still enjoy World of Warcraft, and I enjoy Fridays now more than I ever did in my entire life.
I could still use a few improvements here and there, but seriously, I\'ve just started living my life. Oh, and I still enjoy shitty movies most of you all hate. Screw you you bunch of fucking snobs. :) Also, I have owned an iPod for a long time and continue to thanks to Apple\'s warranty - over three years now. I won\'t lie though, it\'s been replaced at least 6 times and I\'m going for number 7 probably tomorrow. Enjoy your new product, Vid. Get a warranty if you haven\'t. Get it for two years and try to renew it. It\'s the smart thing to do.

Hmm... last year...
I was a freshman in college... just living the college life, getting drunk every weekend.
Nothing has changed.
Except that I take harder business classes.

I remember you posting about your brother and how you was takin\' care of him. I\'m sorry to hear about the loss of him and your grandmother. Glad to hear that you and Rya ( ?) are rebuilding things, seemed like a good couple. Aso congratulation\'s on the job at Cisco Systems.
I had noticed you quit postin\', as you was one of the people I actually enjoyed reading posts from. Hopefully you will start posting some more.
It is truly amazing how much your life can change in a year. The even more amazing part is you don\'t realize a year has passed until you sit down and think of all the changes.

Too much testosterone/not enough oestrogen I think.
