Title: PSX game from the past: Abe\'s Exodus and Abe\'s Oddysee.

Abe\'s Exodus, went missing. Abe\'s Oddysee is also missing.

So I ordered the two games from Amazon.

I got Oddysee and it looks like a pirated copy. I can\'t get past Paramonia section. It locks up every time Abe goes into this temple. Dammit! What a waste of $14! However, I am playing this on a PS2. I might have to dust off the old PSX or even the PS One.

Anyway, it took me almost all day just getting to this part so i missed Sunday\'s NFL games. Whoopdeedoo! Steelers lost so I\'m glad I didn\'t let that get me down. :D

Hopefully, Exodus will be without any problems.

These two are the best problem solving platform games EVER. EVER. If you disagree, mm will ban you into the netherworlds!

you seem to forget abe\'s oddysee is my favorite series on any console, and have always been quite vocal on that.

looks?  it on a black bottomed disk or look like a burned cd?

why amazon tho?
could have gotten them for like 5$ off ebay or half.com

It\'s a black CD at the bottom side. I thought Amazon checks for piracy like this. The cover page looks like a Xerox copy and there was no rear cover. The CD stamp label seems a bit questionable but it could just be worn....but I dunno.

Edit - I didn\'t go via ebay coz I didn\'t wanna get conned into buying a pirated copy or scratched up one.

you can buy black CDR\'s at best buy.. or at least you could during the time PSX was in full swing

i\'m assuming you didn\'t buy this from amazon, but a seller on amazon?  

hindsight still 20/20?

take a picture/scan on the cd label, curious to see what it looks like.

Man, you make it sound like no one gets scammed from eBay sellers!

Anyway, I\'m using my friend\'s pirated copy of Abe\'s Exodus. Works like the real thing. :)

i\'ve performed 270 ebay transactions (buying and selling), and not a single issue.

ebay needs a slogan,  "caveat emptor"

if you get a scratched/pirated disk, it\'s your fault.

Well, the PS2 has no mod chip so I don\'t think this was a pirated copy. However, my old PSX is modded and still locked up on the same stage.

So, I got the known pirated copy, played it on the PSX, it worked. Obviously, it didn\'t work on the PS2.
