Welcome news, even from a life-long Intel user. AMD earned it, and this passed month we now have 2 AMD systems.
Intel neds to get off their ass and do something competitive with the same tech it has in the Pentium M.
-
in other news, when direct sales were factored in, AMD\'s piece of the pie dropped to 17%
AMD captured a 52 percent share of the U.S. retail desktop market
no dell
no corporate sector
only US
so basically, all the cheap e-machines sold at walmart are the basis of the survey
playing with numbers and leaving out facts is fun
intel completely dominates the corporate sector, and that\'s where the big money is.
-
That doesn\'t mean they have the better tech though.
I\'ve never owned AMD, but if Intel doesn\'t shape up my next purchase is a nobrainer. No Intel for me.
-
shape up?

it doesn\'t matter, i\'m just glad to see AMD have some success. Let\'s just see how long they can sustain this momentum.
