If you are near to this picture, Mr Angry is on the left and Mrs Calm is on the right. If you view it from a distance, they switch places!
-
weird, teabag...
-
That\'s a pretty good one. I\'d love an explanation as to how that one works...
-
The further away, the details will blur.
-
Awesome.
-
Amazing.
-
Cool!Never seen aan illusion like it :)
-
That\'s the picture I\'ve ever seen!!!!
-
That\'s the picture you\'ve ever seen? Wow.
Yeah, that\'s trippy.
-
that\'s not the picture I\'ve ever seen, I\'ve seen a picture more than that
-
Some of these just never work for me.
I dont see it.
-
Did you keep stepping back from your computer until you DID see it?
-
I had to stand like 10-15 feet away. By then they all looked the same.
-
omg, if you look at it from an angle you can totally see it. I\'m not sure how it works, but I think it\'s because it\'s set up so the bigger pixel things form the opposite thing to the smaller pixels. you can\'t see the smaller pixels from far away, but the bigger ones are clearer.
right?

Yeah, I was completely across the room.
Someone posted a couple of these a few weeks ago and I couldnt see them either.
I feel like I\'m missing out on life.
-
Meh...maybe your eyesight is a little out of whack. No biggie. You\'re not missing much.
-
Ironically enough, I have an appointment at the eye doctor this saturday cause I think I need glasses.
-
Wow...well...get the glasses and then come back to this thread and try again. :)
-
if you have glasses like me, when ya take them off the faces instantly switch sides.
-
With my contacts in (better than 20/20) - I have to get more than 10 feet away to get the effect.
With my old glasses, about -1.5 I only have to be 4-5 feet away.
Without glasses (I\'m -2.75) I get the effect at about 6-7 inches, weakly, and further out, the picture is too blurry to see. Goddamn I\'m blind :p
-
without my eye glasses,
i can see the expression switch with only about 3 feet away from the screen. With my eyeglasses on, i need to move about 15 feet away to notice the effect.
-
I got back about 10 feet and saw it. Pretty freaking cool.
-
I guess it also tells you how bad your eyes are, the better they are (without glasses), the further away you need to move in order to be able to see the transition
-
I shrunk the picture down a bit and didn\'t have to back up as far.
I showed it to one of our graphics guys and he guesses it has to do with the shadows. When you back up you can\'t see the fine detail, so the shadows dictate what you see and they\'re set up to make the other face look angry.
Maybe.

I took off my specs and the image changed.
-
that\'s because your focal point changes
-
Thats a pretty cool image. I wonder how people come up with these things.
-
Its not rocket science.
Anyone who has taken a fundamental drawing/art class should be able to replicate this.
Its just manipulating the shading and details.
-
^^^^^
Why don\'t you make one for us?
-
Give me a week.
It will actually fufill an Art class requirement.
