Post by: Living-In-Clip on October 26, 2005, 01:48:09 PM
12/20/05. That is the date the Doctor has scheduled my fiance for a c-section of the twins.

Just thought I\'d share the good news.

Cool, didn\'t know they schedule it like that.  Congrats!

Is she gonna be on some druggie drugs or suffer the all natural way?

And.... WTF ARE YOU GONNA DO!?  You\'re gonna be a daddy.  You have less than 2 months to act normal before you\'re life will change forever.

Well, with twins she will be 38 weeks on 12/20. If she does not go into labor before then (which is highly likely), they will go ahead and do a c-section, due to crowding. Her actual due date, is not until Jan 4th, but by then they will be to crowded and in distress.

She is goin\' drugs all the way. Hell, she is wanting a c-section. She requested one.

And trust me, I know. If she even makes it to 38 weeks, I got two months. Fact is, most likely she\'ll pop right around 35 weeks, which means I have right around a month! Yikes.

Dude...you don\'t "go natural" with a c-section. That would be f^cked up.

And good luck to you, your wifey, and your chillin\', LIC. :thumb:

First off LIC, congrats. Secondly, who would have thought that like 3 years ago when we were all younger, LIC would actually be a husband and a family man. I remember some of the things he said....but I don\'t feel like searching. The important thing is that he\'s happy with this girl and the twins and he defintely sounds proud of it. Congrats man.

I\'ll tell you, it is freaky. I mean, the first time we worked on the nursery it was weird, because it sets in what is happening, but I got over that. The nursery is upstairs and we don\'t spend much time up there, so now we decided to put a crib downstairs also. We set that up and it is just...odd, see\'ing a crib next to the couch. It sets in just how close they are to being here and once that happens, the nervousness starts to set in.

At this point, I\'m not sleepin\' a lot. Espically with the fact that in reality, she could go into labor at anytime. She is only thirty weeks, so if she goes into labor before thirty four weeks, both babies will have to spend time in the NIC unit.

Awesome for both LiC and Luke.

BTW, do you have a fear that your daughters will be like, I dunno, the Coors twins?  And... and.. TWINS!  Wow... I don\'t know how\\if I could handle that.  I have a feeling I\'d be a far too overprotective father if I end up with daughter(s).

C-section; I believe they cut open the womans abdomen to take out the baby, then sew her up...

Good Luck LIC, lets see some pics of the new babies when they first pop out.
Title: 12/20/05
Post by: Living-In-Clip on December 19, 2005, 02:29:18 PM
C-section is when they cut her open and pull them both out. She is also having her tubes burned, so we don\'t have anymore (older she gets, more likely she\'ll have another set of twins!).

Each hour is making me more nervous, but oh well. I\'ll be sure to take pictures in the delivery room and post them sometime tommorw or Wensday. She\'ll be staying in the hospital for three or four days.

Orlive.com has links to a C-section. I have watched the full video. Some nasty stuff.

Yes, you would.

Would you want to try and push TWO 5 + lb babies out of that small hole and then risk, getting one out and havin\' to do an emergency C-section? :D

With that said, it\'s not like my female had a choice. One is head first and the other is sideways. No chance of vaginal delivery.

I know it\'s goin\' to be a long night. I am only workin\' 10 hours, instead of the usual 12. Get off two hours early, shower, come home and get this thing on. :bounce:

C-Section also produces babies with no risk of many of the common birth hazards for the child.

From the simple \'squashed nose\' look, to all sorts of physical problems that can occur if the doctor uses even a bit too much force (ie, pull on them coming out).

Course, it comes with risks to the mother, but these days, it\'s almost a \'routine\' procedure, with great numbers behind it.

Good luck, today\'s the day!
