Rent this movie. It\'s the most gutsy foriegn movie ever. It makes a three hour movie feel like 30 minutes.
Don\'t want to spoil anything but this is like "Lord of the Flies" but add in a slum (in Rio De Janeiro) surrounded by corrupt cops, busy and nearly non-existant parents, guns and lots of it, violence, cold blooeded murders, drugs and one person\'s dream to get out and show the world what the City of God is really like.
Sub-titles. Voice-overs will kill this movie. So only literate people should watch this movie. Sorry, Unic. ;)

Sorry, but you\'ll never be mm. :p
I\'ve been trying to rent this damn movie for the past year, at least. It\'s always been rented out. Finally got my grubby paws on it on Saturday. :)

/makes comment about only poor rednecks "rent" movies.
(It\'s sarcasm for you stupid people who don\'t remember when Swifdi decided that anyone who shopped at Wal-Mart was white trash.)

I rent and copy (if it\'s good).

piracy alert!

If the video store charges you late fees up the ass for the movie (more than it\'s worth), it might as well be copied (not suggesting that, though). But copying movies is stupid and incredibly risky.
