Title: I played the Xbox 360 demos at Best Buy.
Post by: juslight on November 09, 2005, 07:40:38 PM
I was not as amazed as I thought I would be.  The light bloom effects and color levels were nice, but there seemed like an unnecessary amount of aliasing.  I have seen regular Xbox games that I think had smoother AA.

I played the King Kong and Kameo demos.  I am going to check out the other game demos tomorrow on my lunch hour.

Well the King Kong demo isn\'t fair representation cause they say it doesn\'t look much worse on the xbox.

I thought it might just be a crappy port.  I\'ll have to check out the other games before my opinion of the system is tainted.

Friend of mine said "Medal of Honor" was very very polished and smooth.

Then there\'s that whole thing about first-gen games using a fraction of the system\'s power.

How is King Kong shaping up? It has an interesting premise if it can avoid feeling like another me-too, first-person shooter when you play as the guy.

King Kong is just Ubisoft\'s acquired license, spread over all platforms current and next generation. Of all those versions, next gen might be OK at best.

It seems to feature some nice particle fx though.
