Title: NBA 06 for PSP
Post by: alpha_blade on November 13, 2005, 10:14:08 PM
Anyone get this game for PSP?  I heard that the career mode in this game was really fun where you get to build your character up from nobody to somebody and that the 2 player mode is really fun.  Any other opinions?

Got it with my console, I have played it since I got it and it\'s really great I agree. I\'m glad they made the career mode so in depth, alot of good replay value there.

My brother and I were recently looking at PSP reviews on IGN. Pretty funny, actually.

With the exception of GTA:LCS, it hasn\'t had a 9-caliber game since spring. 8.8 for Hot Shots Golf (and I thought that was underrated) in May was the next closest thing.

This wouldn\'t be a problem (GameCube has gone through stretches like this and I love the GCN) but the DS just came out with 3 or 4 "9" games in a 2-week span. So, yeah.

2-week span that took from launch to do anything

Wha..? Nah, for a handheld the DS has done pretty well for itself.

... After Kirby/Meteos came out, that is.

I mean, there were gems here and there post-launch (WarioWare, Yoshi Touch & Go) but they (especially YT&G) were gimmicky.

I think the console really hit its stride over the summer with all of the games that took advantage of the touch-screen.. and some that were more traditional. Ace Wright, Nintendogs, Trauma Center, Castlevania, Meteos, Kirby:Canvas Curse, and a few others really set the stage in summer/early fall. That\'s a lot if you intend on buying every great game for a system.

Now we\'re heading toward a winter season that will be full of content. So, DS > PSP for now.

As a gamer, the DS is king. ;]

It feels less cool and more like a toy, but fuck all if it doesn\'t have better games than PSP. :)

I love how grown men are a different kind now\'a\'days. They can\'t be caught playing the wimpy DS.

I\'m still a boy...I think the DS has better games.
*sigh*

oh i could be caught playing a DS, but it\'s just too big and not powerful enough compared to the PSP

plus i think the whole "dual screen" is just a gimmick.  take out 2nd screen, make it twice as powerful, and you got a winner

Y\'know, I almost.. almost think of hiding the DS on public transportation when I see a pretty girl coming.

Yes, the fever has gotten to me too.

That said, we just got Mario Kart DS and Sonic Rush on top of my quest in Mario & Luigi 2.. making me about this close to selling the PSP and getting an iPod.

Actually it\'s the PSP that has such a large screen. Graphics and hardware are not what suck about the PSP, that\'s for sure.
