Here is the story:
Wake up @ 7 for school.... pitch black outside and colder than a frozen cadabras vagina.
Arrive at school, pitch black until 2nd period (9ish). Then it rains/snows depending on tempature.
School continues, yada yada....
Out of school @ 2:15, sun starts setting... pitch black @ 3:30
WTF!!! I hate winter in Alaska.
-
Alaska has really screwed up weather patterns. My cousin lives there now, I believe. Just got or is getting his Captain\'s license. I haven\'t talked to him in months so I dunno. But he always talks about the permanent darkness or lightness, depending on the year. He travels back and forth to Alaska and Hawaii...fishing...sailing...drinking beers...hanging with chicks all day long. Lucky bastard.
-
You gonna move down here after school spudz?
-
Where is he in AK? I live in Juneau, way up north they wont even see sunlight in the winter. :(
What is he gonna do on the seas? Fish? Charter?
Dont get me wrong, living in Alaska is fucking awesome- but it can really get to you at times.
It would be a dream to be a commercial fisherman... work own hours, fish all day, and make big $$$.

Nah, Alaska has me hooked.
You wouldnt believe the beauty here. I have a giant lake in my backyard, a view of the Mendenhall Glacier, the ocean only miles away. Tons of wildlife (see bears ALL the time), great people, fresh air, its awesome- but isolated.

I really don\'t know what his plans are. I should ask him the next time I talk to him. I know he wants a ship of his own. Other than that, I dunno. I forgot what part of Alaska he\'s in. I just remember him saying it\'s a VERY small town...like 200 or 300 people live there or something.
He offered me to work with him up in Alaska, just chillin\', partying, and making good money on the side. After next semester I\'ll have to take him up on the offer, but it takes like 6 months to a year to get me a position where he works, so I\'d have to let him know in advance. He always brings back pictures and Alaska just looks amazing.

I love winter. Then again, I hate the daylight.
-
was high 70\'s..no clouds..like last week..2 weeks ago was cloudy, but the week before that was high 70\'s no clouds, lol. Been pretty weird weather lately..wont see the sun for a week and a little rain, then the next week u dont see a cloud.
People say "ahh its boring without weather changes in san diego"..i personally like sweatshirt weather (mainly because it rarely is) but its damn nice.
alaska does seem really nice..only see pictures though.
-
What exactly is sweatshirt weather to you?
-
cloudy, high 50\'s low 60\'s..only at night during the winter is it low 50\'s. Still warm compared to a lot of places, but you probably wear more than a sweatshirt. Iv been to chicago in the winter when my grandparents lived there so i know what freezing balls feels like.
-
haha low 60\'s is t-shirt and maybe pants in ohio. 40\'s is sweatshirt weather here :)

Darn emo kids. ;)

Yeah. Pretty much sucks here. Wake up at 6am, sun is shining. Put on my shorts and go to work.
Get home at about 5pm, play some ball with my boy and the sun sets around 6.
Yeah, it sucks.

Nothing to do with "emo". Just a night person. I prefer working nights and everything. I\'ve been like that since I was a baby.
-
I like standard time. Daylight savings time has the suckage.
-
you worked when you were an infant?!?!
damn, I thought my parents were strict for making me work at 14.

 That\'s why he rebelled and got bolts and screws inserted into his skin. Magnets are the bane of his existance. ;) :p

He\'s making fun of us. Tampa ain\'t all that. They have Cubans as well as Mexicans. ;)

I know the feeling (e), pitch black most of the time and colder than shit. But I still like winter for some reason, northern lights help, always look nice.
-
I appreciate all seasons. I love spring and summer for the long days and hot weather, but I also love fall and winter for the cold, dark days...
-
.....you know Sam.... that may just have been the gayest thing you\'ve ever said.
;)

I dunno. One time, he said "Evis, suck my dick."
Now that\'s just gay. ;)
-
Pfft, I\'m sure I\'ve said much gayer things than that. ;)
EDIT: That reminds me of a funny story from Saturday. I was at a party and talking to a girl, when this guy approaches me. He then asks if he can \'touch me\'. I politely turn him down...
Then later he wanted to join me and said chick making out. I hope he was trying to be funny and/or very drunk. We just laughed it off though. :)

Winter in Vegas was tolerable... the cloudless nights would be cold as shit.
Winter in South Bend sucks huge fucking dick. High winds + Rain/Snow + below freezing temperatures.
Sometimes when my alarm goes off, and I stare out the window to see three feet of snow on the ground, and its still dark outside, I\'m really tempted to just go back to bed. The will power required is amazing.

When I was in college the same thing happened, minus the snow.
-
I miss snow, we hardly get any where I live now. Our biggest storm last winter was like 2 inches. Drive 2 hours north and they get 14 :(
-
THX don\'t want no stinkin\' snow. One wheel drive cars have the suckage. :p
-
Sammy u cheating on us with a filthy member of the opposite sex eh? traitor #2
I wub snow myself. I heard this winter though is supposed to be very mild after looking at that hairy catepillar thingy. :\\
-
I was just in Alaska over the summer, but it was the peak of the summer for them and I was still bundled up pretty well. I can only imagine your situation.

Backyard standing on dock.... ducks long gone, pond now frozen over.
-
Use a faster shutter speed or use a tripod. :)
-
Looks like a scan of a photo
sammy- tratior #1 is black sam for going agaisnt his kind in the arrested development thread. Hairy catepillar is like groundhog day for winter instead of spring.
