Title: Narnia! Narnia! NAR-NI-A!
Post by: GmanJoe on December 12, 2005, 05:25:51 AM
I enjoyed that movie. I think I liked it more than the most recent Harry Pottah movie. Graphics were quite nice.

I like how they had all those animals and mythical creatures fighting each other. Oh....and if anyone wanted to see the offspring of Unicron and his goat wife, this movie has that abomination starring in it.

saw it saturday night.
good special effects in places, but there was so many obvious "green screen" moments it was disturbing.

replace aslan with gandalf, and you\'ve already seen the movie

oh, and i\'m sick of liam neeson

the only highlight was the trailer for "Lady in the Water".

It was enjoyable. I went there not knowing what to expect other than obscure memories of the late 70\'s animated version which I enjoyed as a kid.

Aslan with Gandalf? There was no magical lion, other that the ability to speak. This was more in line with the third movie of LOTR.

CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien were buddy buddies before they wrote their stories that made them famous. JRR was able to convert Lewis to Christianity, thus, inspiring him to write the "Chronicles of Narnia".

I think the Lion was an allegory for Jesus.

I think that\'s pretty obvious

I\'m not terribly familiar with the books or the story (other than its similarities to parts of the bible, and that C.S. Lewis was a Christian).  My wife has read all the books, so she\'ll probably end up dragging me to go see it eventually.  Will probably end up being the next Harry Potter, with 7 books to draw future films from.

Meh...I always thought of Jesus as the "Lamb of God". :)

Saw it, loved it.

First I heard of Lady In The Water too. Got my interest to say the least.

Lady in the water? Is that the new M. Night Shamaalalmalsmsalman movie?

EDIT: It is. I take it the trailer was interesting?

I\'m not too interested in seeing this because I never read any of the books. But I\'m sure I\'ll catch it on DVD. :)
