I\'m soooo glad I\'ve got that under control. It tooke me months of nonstop playing but I eventually got tired of it. I still play it every now and then.
Today, I\'m glad I didn\'t get into WoW, Everquest....and other PC games. Otherwise, I\'d be fat, pale and blind.
-
stereotype much?
-
I\'ve played WoW and to be honest I think it\'s an awesome game, but I also thought I spent too much time at it. I mean, it\'s not really fun unless you put a lot of hours into it. So after a bit of consideration I decided to just stop.
And now I\'m so busy I don\'t have time to play even if I wanted to.

Put a beer in that pic and its me.
I have no shame. I still get sex every once in awhile so its ok.
-
you implied that all PC gamers are "fat, pale and blind."
i consider myself a PC gamer, as well as probably ~98% of all PC users
-
I basically only play late at night, maybe 3 nights a week max after the kids and wife go to bed.
And like Luke said, getting sex once in a while makes it ok. :) I got nobody to impress anymore, i\'m way past letting myself go :D
I\'ve never played any of the Civilzation series.. although I bought Civ IV. Am I making a mistake installing that in the near future?
-
I couldnt get into any of the civ games, which is funny cause it seems like the kind of game i would love.
-
I used to love ads like that for games. Creative or funny ads.
Now it\'s either "show a pre-rendered version of a scene from a game" or just show review excerpts and the name of the game.. "5 OUT OF 5 SAYS JOE\'S GAME SITE"
-
^^^
That\'s how EGM used to be...in \'94.

JBean - Civ 4 was a huuuuuge dissapointment for me. Not because of the game itself, oh no. They\'ve managed to upgrade the graphics, movies, tech trees, interface, and units while keeping the fast-paced fun of the originals of the series. Frankly, they did a bang-up job. That said, it was released in almost an Alpha version. MASSIVE memory leaks, by the year 1950 on almost ANY computer it was running at about 1/20th normal speed. Graphics had to be sacrificed horribly to make it remotely playable. After the patch, it\'s basically still in late Beta stage. The patch came out end of november, fixed up a lot of minor gameplay issues, fixed up the global performance a lot, but I would still wait for the next patch. It\'s agrivating to have such a good game that is so fun to play that you CAN\'T play just sitting there waiting, but that\'s my advice. Wait for 1.10.
BAD customer support it the downfall.
1.08 was released to \'fix up\' all the problems, and was recalled a day later for screwing everything up even worse. 1.09 is decent, but it messed up some stuff (animations, wonder movies), so wait....

Same thing happened to me back in September. I\'ve had 3 brutal months of work and just didn\'t have the time. I look to have a weak January, but then I\'ll be busy again for the rest of the year. No time for long games like that. I\'ll just stick to Gun and Tiger Woods.

damn that sucks. I figure it would be a game that I would love, but too bad to hear about all the technical issues wit hit. Guess i\'ll keep it on the shelf until things get patched up.
I got plenty of other games to keep me busy.

I work out regularly at the gym and ride my bike. And I have sex....regularly. Oddly enough, sex has increased since I got married whereas my friends are the opposite.
mm, sex with Jergins and your hand...is not sex.
-
jergins?
that shit is exspensive
tube sock FTW!

How about this..
You know you\'re a nerd once you brag about how you can have sex to others on a message board.
That\'s lame.
No offense, of course.

Not really. It\'s sometimes called marriage. It\'s normal. But you see....you had to go and get her pregnant with triplets. ;) kidding. TWINS! :p
-
...twins.
six more days...
6:00 am.
Dec 20th.
-
Add a week to that... Unless the doc is going to cut her up.
-
C-section I believe.. how else would he know the exact time and date?
-
These days, it\'s very common for twins to be birthed via C-Section. It\'s safer for the mommy and the babies....coz growing them to full term....well....damn. If she was 6\'8" with plenty of apartment space in the womb, maybe.
