Very cool. Pretty awesome experience. I remember when Logan popped out of my wife\'s cooter. Seems like just yesterday my wife had her epiziotomy. (I had the doc throw a couple extra stitches in to make her tight again) whew....

Oh man, I haven\'t posted here in YEARS. But I just barely remember you LiC. Many, many congratulations. :D Good luck with the newly expanded family!
-
I haven\'t posted here in a while too. :p
Many congratulations LIC! May they be easy to rear and minor-level shopoholics. And may they live up to the meaning of their names: noble and beautiful.
-
Your two new girls brought two old forum members out of retirement. Miracles really do happen both with your baby girls and on the Intarweb. Congrats LiC. Don\'t ever let them read some of the crap you\'ve posted on this forum. :)
-
^^
Yeah no kidding.
-
I know.. Someone ought to do a little search for some of the goods from a couple years ago.
-
Thank\'s a lot!
There will be pictures of the mom and I soon. She tried to breastfeed, but it didn\'t go well, so we are doin\' the bottle thing now. We\'ll all get to come home xmas eve, which is good.
The first poop wasn\'t that bad for either one of them. It\'s all the spitting up that smells bad...Eww..
So far tho\', one is quiet and the other is loud. Not to bad really. I am taking five weeks off work to help out with them.
And wow - I see names in this thread I haven\'t seen in ages!
P.S - Rya rocks for knowing the meaning of their names.
-
How do you figure out who\'s who? :p
-

They wont be wearing the numbers for long :p

Show me pics when they\'re hot and 16 yrs old.
-
it took about a week for my wife to get used to breastfeeding. But some women just can\'t do it for whatever reason. I\'m glad mine can, it saves us an assload on formula. Congrats

I don\'t know why but for some reason I found that very funny.
Anyhoo, congrats on the litter, and you better post pics of the happy family.
-
Yeah how could it have not worked out?
Lets hope you eventually do go breastfeeding, its very crucial in a babies development.
-
Its funny. It feels like yesterday when Vid was posting pics of his newborn. Oh how the times change. Years down the road, granted this forum is still up, I may be posting pictures of my little tikes.
-
^^
And I\'ll be making snowmen in hell.

She has scar tissue in one nipple, that prevents her from allowing enough milk to go to the babies mouth. If she was havin\' one, she could maybe get by with just milking off one breast, but with two, it won\'t happen. We tried it and they simply was not getting enough and she was getting to sore for it.

My wife and I have a 11 week old foster kid. We have WIC checks from social services for the forumula, and a month supply comes out to around $110.
Doubled for twins ;)
-
Congrats LIC,..:fro:..welcome to fatherhood..and have the pepto ready when they hit the teenage yrs..:p
-
Are they identical twins lic? If so it is going to be interesting for you and mrs lic

How would you like some little twirp chomping down on your tit every couple hours. Then double that!!! Freak no.
Not only does titty feeding suck, but you have to get up in the middle of the night multiple times because they can\'t go nearly as long on boob goo....
This isn\'t the 1950\'s. Milk you buy in stores is pretty damn good. My chickie tried for about a week and that was it.. no more..
It\'s not the 1950\'s any more.
-
well, the colustrum (clear liquid right after birth) is very important, but that only lasts a few days, I think.

We are not eligable for WIC. We make just a tad to much. Would be nice tho\'! I am thinking she is goin to quit her job, get a part time and then we\'ll sign up on WIC, that way she can be with the kids more.
We brought \'em home today.
-
We don\'t qualify for WIC either, it\'s part of the Foster Parenting thing. I was just shocked when we had to go get formula how expensive that shit is.
Pretty wild how much your daily life will change now. At least at this point people are still fawning all over them and willing to help out at a moments notice. Hope it lasts for ya ;)
-
We are hopin\' to not have anyone stay and help us.. Maybe stop by and help, but not overnight guests.
Ugh.,

:)
We\'re home!

They are cute as a button.
-
Those buttons keep daddy up until 5:00 am. Both, screaming, top of their lungs. Oh well, it\'s part of it.
I was never one who took cat naps, but now, I sleep whenever I can.
:D
-
You bagged yourself a red-head...
Fiesty..
Congrats LICky. This is all quite awesome. It\'ll be really interesting to see how much this experience, and the coming years will change you as a person.
Oh.. and do something about that lower back hair. ;)
-
heh.
I haven\'t shaved it in abit. There for abit, I kept it shaved, but oh well.
