Title: Game tournament web site

Myself and 3 other friends are putting tournaments together here in South Africa as there is absolutely nothing like it round here.  You guys will notice that it is for all consoles (PS2, GCN, XBOX) and that it is purely games driven.

Right now it is still very small and we need to get the forms to work early next week (none of the forms currently work).  Please note that the site is very basic as we have limited funds.

Please give me your opinion and let me know what I should ad to what we have going.  Having input from other countries that has had something like this before is much appreciated.:)

Thats awesome, I didnt think video games were very big in Africa. Cool.

In South Africa games are huge btw... more PS2 than GameCube and MS is not even represented here (meaning the Xbox that is)  We have a annual Games Show, such as E3, CES, TGS, etc... but on a much smaller scale.  

South Africa is honestly not anything like the rest of Africa.  Remember Mark Shuttleworth?  THe guy that invented the security method used on the Internet?  We are most definitly not a 3rd world country either.  Seeing that the FIFA World Cup is coming to South Africa in 2010 I am sure that some of you might get to see our country.  Believe me, we have one hell of a beautiful country.

Cool.  One question, do you guys use 60 Hz or 50 Hz for electricity socket?

We have multi systems.

I have an NTSC N64 and PS1 for example and all we need are transformers that handle our voltage to ensure that the equipment don\'t blow up.

We use PAL as a standard in our country and everything is imported from the UK.

Our voltage is 220v and not 110v (which I think yours is.. if I\'m not mistaking)

Australia and Europe uses 50 Hz while North America, Japan uses the 60 Hz.  I was hoping South Africa uses the 60 Hz frequency too but I guess not.

But you guy uses higher voltage than us though.  I am not really familiar with the elctricty thingy though.  Hopefully JBean can chime in on this subject.
